I don't think botting is fair in anyway but you lads are professional paid programmers if some kid can exploit your code thats totally your fault for being s##t at your job. if someone can mess with your programming maybe you should ummm employ the people that are doing it because there obviously better at your job then you are...

Good job on taking out the bots out Jagex.

BUT if you go to any world and to Varrock East Bank, you WILL see hundreds of lower levels run non stop from bank to the essence mine. Obviously bots as none of these responds to anything you say or do.

My Suggestion:

Ban them.

Hello. I'm sorry but first off I have to tell you, as a paying customer, that you aren't doing enough. We as player *know* you won't get rid of bots, since bots bring in specific revenue for Jagex. however if this continues, the game is going ot die off, since item prices are crashing, players are quitting, traffic is going down.

You as the runescape team, need to be planning for the future and saying it's time to either roll the game back to 06 rules, or kill all bots and hope that people regain trust in you.

@ james6327, well said, if you look at the players online when you log in, it is about 1/2 the amount it used to be at prime times like weekends. Now keep in mind that maybe 50 % are bottting, then that reduces real players to about 1/4 of the amount that were playing the game a few years ago, all due to the new major shareholding company and its greed ? Players first, because happy players = a sustained and steady income. Remember the days when an update was a treat, now its so often it's hard to keep pace with them.

Not enough. Once a week won't do it. You need to ban all the bots running all the macro scripts. On 30-Dec-2012 17:13:55 a player posted a summary of the number of macro scripts he found from one bot site alone:
