Jagex, may I inquire why there is such an emphasis on this pathetic excuse of game content - the Squeal of Fortune?
Personally, I wouldn't be worried if there were one or two neat news-posts regarding some neat additions to the Squeal of Fortune, something you would expect to be a regular distraction and diversion, but the constant emphasis and modifications to it, as if it truly is something that is worthy of being called game content, is sincerely starting to bother me.
I understand there's different folks at Jagex working on different pieces of content, but honestly folks, there has to be better things to be proactive with than the minute amounts of feedback that positively speak about the Squeal of Fortune. For example, how about establishing a more mutual ground of communication regarding the expectedly ongoing discussions regarding the Squeal of Fortune?
Just your friendly neighborhood team player.

Jagex, you seem to have missed the point entirely.
We don't want improvements to the rewards - in some ways that actually makes the thing more unethical. We want it removed. It has absolutely no place in the game at all. Yes we mostly play it because it is there and not playing it puts us at a potential disadvantage, but we would stand up and cheer if it was removed. It would restore some of our faith in your integrity.

@Trevor: Feedback is overwhelmingly _positive_ for this update, thanks to Jagex's patented MMG Feedback Filter!
All player feedback goes into MMG's ear, undergoes a special filtering process, and then comes straight out his @**, at which point it is deemed "positive."
It works something like this:
Step 1: A player says: "Please get rid of SoF, or at least buyable spins, which are a horrible update and a violation of the spirit of the game (not to mention Jagex's own rules, until these were conveniently changed)."
Step 2: MMG "listens." Feedback is filtered, comes out his @**, and now sounds like this:
"You're awesome MMG! I loves me my Yelps! Please make all game rewards purchasable for irl cash!"
See? Positive feedback. So like you said, can't wait for yet another SoF update.

I, like the vast majority of the community, dislike the SoF. The problem lies in 2 areas. One is the ability to buy spins and the problems with this means your circumstances outside the game affect your ability to succeed in the game. The other problem is it has no lore or place in the game and thus ruins the immersion for some players. I understand why it was introduced but honestly the majority of players would rather pay a slightly increased membership fee so that this piece of content can be removed. This update to the SoF does nothing to address player feedback. While we welcome better rewards from the SoF we want buyable spins removed. Microtransactions have ruined many great games. Please don't let them ruin this game as well.

I speak for myself when I post this. And I've been with this game as a loyal member across 5 of my accounts starting since 2003 - I have been part of Classic for a full year and am a 'veteran' in the game as well.
Let me say this again, given the fact it may have been overshadowed from Mod MMG's post that he never took the time to actually review after simply posting his response to our SoF feedback.
The wheel should only offer cosmetic reward. The rule for RWT should have not violated itself on April 2nd 2012 by offering XP, gold coins, and 'lucky' item benefits for real cash payment. Bad enough with people that did quests or skills AFTER 2012 were given benefits that others missed on free spins. Cosmetic items wouldn't off-set the prices of EARNED items at Grand Exchange. When you changed RWT rule on April 16th 2012 to suit your personal needs and cover your tracks, you removed the most important rule of the game.
"We don’t want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn’t affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape."
This was replaced with
"Nobody has our permission to sell RuneScape accounts or any RuneScape related virtual in-game item."
But YOU do! How can you say nobody has permission to sell items or XP lamps and coins, if you yourselves are violating your own rule?

Has Insight Venue loosened their noose from Mod MMG's neck? Are we near seeing the end of "Buy More Spins"?
I would like to just play the game but every single day I have this annoying troll on my page. Every time I am training a skill trying to actually EARN my 99s, again I see useless tickets fill up my inventory. I grow tired of hearing the words "Extra spins for the win" every single day.
If you want to corrupt 99s and hand out free XP and max capes - restore Ancient Effigies to normality. But don't entice children to steal their parents' credit card to "Buy More Spins!"

Thanks to player feedback, we have reviewed the quality and value of the prizes available on the Squeal of Fortune, and we’re pleased to announce that we will be making significant improvements to the drop rates and overall value of the loot on offer.
If you really considered the player feedback buyable spins would be long gone from this game. Now that you will update the SoF with better items that will be your excuse when people say it's gambling. 'SoF isn't gambling as every time you win something decent.' But still things like 1000 gp or 50 rune arrows is worthless. Just no Jagex, seriously.
