Bruh, cmon dont take the fun out of the Game...

Have to agree here.

Last i checked jagex can name their characters, places, items or what have you anything they want as its their game.

Dont like it, too bad.

First of all, that Aligra Nite made my day.

Secondly, this is a fantasy game thats drawing its inspiration from the real world. If anything, it is a good thing that jagex somehow recreates certain real life cultures here, as it might be even more appealing for players coming from the said environments/cultures. It would have been offending if NPCs from certain cultures were mocking NPCs from others.
Again, this is a fantasy game that aims to disconnect players from the real life, and probably their real life problems too, and to bring them joy. Therefore, I doubt jagex would create a virtual world that might remind people of the real life conflicts(racism and others), or that they would purposefully insult their player base.

If you think this Ali thing is bad, check out the hermit citizens of Burgh de Rott. As even the Wiki acknowledges, they all have romanian names. Did jagex gave them romanian names because they live in the vampyre lands(because Dracula is romanian and most of the vampire stories are related to Romania), or because they wanted to have a town of poor and starving people that presumably resembles that countrys living quality?

We are yet to hear from the romanian players if they are bothered by that or not. So far, even with such a wretched place, no one felt offended yet.

Some people try very very hard to see adversity where there is none, they thrive on it.
This never use to happen, it is a learned trait, it is something they are compelled to seek out through this misguided culture of finger pointing, thinking they are virtuous in doing so.

Sadly, these people are indoctrinated into a certain display of Wokery, regiment into an unrealistic, overblown rational and know no different way of reacting to the merest of ill perceived triggers.

Jagex, as all businesses, have had their hand forced when dealing with Equality and Diversity legislation. This particular Act has been a long time overdue. However it is a 'one size fits all Act' and does not take into account some of the subtleties necessary when applying the legislation in certain circumstances, for example, online fantasy games where certain perceptions of the necessity of the application of the Act are over zealous in a most ridiculously laughable and facile way.
It seems to me Jagex have done the minimum they have been forced to do (due to the Legislation) and have ignored some of the more obscure possibilities that the Act may be applicable to, however effete.
What we don't need is a Vigilantly Vanguard poking sticks at those obscure possibilities that are causing no harm to no one and stirring up a force change to these novelty characters names that will deplete some of the tongue-in-cheek characterization fun that we have enjoyed in this game for many years.
What next? Pulling down statues and trigger warnings for Boss killing?
