Well, my friends, it seems I come to you now at the end of all things. Can’t believe Jagex is finally pulling the plug. Just want to bid a fond farewell to all my OG pals from back in the spam bin days of 2008. We had a hell of a run, love to you all. <3

Yeah I came here at a similar age, I had some starry-eyed suggestion for an improvement to the game and for some reason decided to put it in Rants and pretty much immediately got corrupted by the spam bin. Don’t know how I went from trolling to writing nostalgic essays but here we are lol.

I wonder if there’s some way to get the word out to the old crowd and have some sort of Rants reunion before it’s all said and done. Maybe Rooh knows how to contact some of them?

RIP. Rants was the 1st forum I visited and what got me hooked to the forums. The spam/trolling here back then was wild. Posting here made even playing the game more fun. Only those that were here when forum activity was high will know how good it was.

Not surprised the forums are being axed, but it's still a shame Jagex decided not to keep them. The age of social media destroyed the forums unfortunately. It could never compete and no one at Jagex cared enough to give them a chance.

There's no replacement for the forums. Forums are the best for long-term discussions. Reddit and other platforms are all short-term. .

I remember there was some overspill between Rants and ID, and HLF a bit too. I remember you Singularity (forgot your OG name) and Seeker being one of those HLF pros I looked up to when I was younger lol, as cringe as that might sound. ~ I do not have a signature.
