It is all about natural selection. OSRS is forced to do things the RS3 way as RS3 is forced to do things the MMORPG way as the MMORPG is force to do things the video game industry way.

Nostalgia can't be used as a selling point for an antiquated game for a long time just as the Elvis and the Beatles lookalikes could only be seen IRL briefly in Haloween. OSRS has no doubt need to adapt to the modern demands like giving more rewards (e.g. more xp/hr from Priff agility course), faster boss respawn and therefore more rewards (e.g. Chaos Elemental timer reduction) as well as less grind and less requirements (e.g. reduction of quest requirements).

OSRS has no choice as the gravity pulls it toward RS3. It is for the game's integrity. It is for their survival. :)

OSRS remains true to the OSRS spirit while taking parts of RS3 and improving them. Agreed, OP.

Unfortunately, we see RS3 trying to be relevant by copying OSRS constantly, for example fossil island. They need to try to be like a non-dead game such as OSRS!

Nice to see the OSRS bashing is still prevalent on the RS3 section! Funnily enough OSRS players enjoy playing their game and don't care about RS3. But RS3 players only enjoy attacking OSRS! They barely even play RS3 anymore (hence why MTX is so popular)!

I don't know about RS3 players bashing on OS (first I hear about it actually), but we've had a fair share of the other way around here a while ago. It luckily seems to have stopped mostly because it was really immature and very annoying to see another thread pop up every couple of days.

Peter Parker, Eddie Brock and Miguel O'hara are different people and in a certain way different "spider men". They just have some relationships to each other but they are not the same.

Venom among many other Spiderman clones came to existence because the Symbiotes took advantages of the weakness of Parker. Then natural selection guided the Marvel Universe toward many Scarlet Spiders.

All the Spider-men, then, now or in the future may look alike, with the newer generation ones inevitably copying the characters of the ones fittest to survive. No difference in the Runescape Universe. It is all about survival of the fittest. The best one is always the fittest one to survive. Now that the question is who are the heroes and who are the villains? :D

There are no heroes and there are no villains. There is only the stupid and the intelligent.

Yes, the intelligent ones are always the ones who are fit to survive. The stupid ones are the ones refuse or have no ability to evolve.

The intelligent companies are the ones that are the fittest to survive in the financial world. Of course Jagex has to follow their footsteps because they are not a stupid company... thus we see their games, then, now or in the future evloving into ones with the fittest genes to survive.

When the consumers want to see modern superheroes, you don't dress your NPCs like Elvis.

When the consumers want the rewards but not the grind, your games better be more rewarding and less grinding. Your game better give more xp per lap whether it is through Summer Skiler-Off or Priffdinas Agility course. Your bosses better spawn every 30-60 seconds instead of 150 seconds. Get it? :D

Prif isn't an efficient agility course in OSRS though... And chaos ele is to bring it in line with other OSRS bosses. Stop trying to push your anti-Jagex views lmao. Im sorry that your game has only a few players in each world. I'm sorry that it has predatory MTX. I'm sorry that OSRS is more successful than RS3 is. I'm sorry, Dil.

The OSRS Priffdinas agility course is not as efficient as the RS3 one, and the Chaos Elemental is not as efficient as the RS3 one. That's why they got the change to the RS3 way so they became more efficient.

Please also don't deflect the topic to OSRS vs RS3 or anti-Jagex.
