1) RuneScape will more than likely die because as people grew up there’s more appealing things to do than play any game not just RuneScape.
I am 28 and most people that I knew that played RuneScape either have had children (most situations being irresponsible where they can’t afford children so no time to ever commit to games), people start taking on better jobs, and people in general have become so impatient with life.
People are basically efficient in real life. They want kids / be married quickly / find jobs
2) does this make any company “evil”? A company deserves to make money and they’re not going to run at a deficit because that’s stupid.
3) another thing I saw online is how almost half the community RWT’s which points to the
“Efficient mentality” people have and this is another bad sign the game isn’t destined to live.
4)
I think the only way to save OSRS is this:
From my understanding OSRS is one of the most profitable games for RWT.
F2P RuneScape should be limited to an iron man experience, this should stabilize
prices of lower level items and even skilling.
I’ve done sales for Pepsi for a while and people don’t care about promoting an item or even sales...
If people want to commit to something like buying something Pepsico distributes, they’re going to go for it
F2P is obsolete and caters to a player base that either advertises RWT / botting / advertising
No shame for Jagex to admit defeat and remove F2P
The removal of F2P will filter out the few legitimate players from the game and encourage the others to drop membership money
5) enough jobs especially in America pay enough where if I was 16 years old, you can work at
a hardware store pushing carts for 10 to 11 dollars an hour
People have enough money where offering a trial for any game isn’t necessary
