Exactly.

Like how all these ppl think everythings so easy to fix...

Jagex even said themselves they pretty much had no one who even knew the rsc codding thus no one could hardly fix any of the bugs.

???? why would it take 800 man hours to reset a server? Of course he couldn't do it on his own, he doesn't have access to Jagex's office!

RSC has had resets in the past, specifically in regards to changes in the chat system. RSC didn't get server resets because it didn't get updates. Not because no one knew how. Jagex put forth the minimum level of effort in upkeeping RSC, refusing to ban bots, and refusing to fix this one particular bug that jeopardized the market for dragonstones.

You're out of your mind if you think out of the hundreds of employees jagex has, that none of them would be able to figure out how to solve this issue.

RSC was neglected by choice. It was killed off by choice. Same with funorb. Same with all the other games that Jagex mismanaged, neglected, and then finally put to rest. The only reason rs3/osrs are still around is because of how addicting they are. That's not to say they're bad games, but they have a high level of player retention, much more than the average game. Classic was much less user-friendly, and it's very possible OSRS cannibalized much if its aging userbase as they opted for convenience over the less accessible classic.

Thus with all of this it seemed like it was the best choice business wise to shut it down.

Of course they didnt do any updates, but not because they didnt choose to.

It was because they said at one point that if ppl wanted to continue playing they could, but jagex were going to stop making any updates.

Considering every single RSC player was a paying member i don't think that's true.

Don't agree with me on this topic, our opinions are vastly different.

I think its disgraceful to close RSC.

I do not think 1 man can run an rs server on their own.

All I am suggesting is that OPs request to run and operate an rs server for free to the community, on his own private server probably isn't possible, unforunantly.
Skillet? Skill no.

So much moot.
