In 2004 the Gowers promised players Classic would remain open to those loyal to it and decided to stay.

Found your problem.

Its no longer 2004 and the Gowers no longer run jagex so of course it could be shut down.

Draco,

Of course it isn't run by the Gowers. Your input is not needed, please kindly take your comments elsewhere.

Draco is not wrong, IVP and now the newer owners did not agree to uphold the Gowers promise. So they sold that promise when they sold the company.
It was under good faith that both IVP and the new owners continued to run RSC.
But due to technical concerns which they clearly told everyone, RSC had to close.

Technical concerns, huh?

So coding just changes itsself over time?

The game has been dormant for over a decade, possibly longer than you or Draco have been alive judging by your posts. The game was fine. It was shut down because it didn't profit what they wanted it to. The possible 5k a month profit was nothing compared to the amount you and your 12 year old friends spend on microtransactions.

The technical concerns did not build from one day to another. They had concerns since 2005-2006 which disregarded then 2009 started looking at them, removed the jmods that were assigned on the project and discarded years of people proposing ideas, solutions and concerns. Just like they have discarded Rob (the first player to support RS) and some others that have stepped up.

Like how you constantly forget about bug like the crystal chest and whatnot.

Obviously they costed more to fix than what they got in return revenue so the logical conclusion was to shut it down.

And I like how you speak on things you're not keen to. The crystal chest was a bug newly discovered which did nothing except make dragonstone ammys (already thousands upon thousands available) go up in price a bit.

Far from a game-breaking bug. It only took a server reset which took 30 seconds to fix the chest.

Draco, you've been speaking on things you know nothing of for months now. Really, you should stop.

Either way, they made a choice to shut it down and it isnt returning as far as i can see.

Yes, you've posted the same line about 50x in your pathetic attempt to troll the Classic forums.

I have respectfully asked you to stay off of my threads, as you purposely antagonize anything that anyone has to say for your own creepy self-loathing.

Please, see yourself out of my threads.

Im just wanting to know how you can be so upset at jagex when they communicated just fine by giving you loads of time to plan for the last days of classic?

From what i can tell at least you just choose to make them the bad guys just like ppl who dislike MTX.
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and answer your question Draco.

I have the RIGHT to be upset with Jagex, as do so many others, because we were told the game wouldn't be closed should we choose to stay. The "plan" for the last days of Classic is irrelevant, as there shouldn't have been a plan in the first place.

They are the bad guys, because they are cutting off their eldest players, and essentially telling them to go kick rocks.

I'm not sure if you play RS3, or OSRS, but imagine: Whatever you've play, you've played for 17 years. They tell you: "Hey bud, I know you've been paying us all this time, and I know you've worked so hard, but go fuck yourself. You get nothing. Bye."

How would you honestly feel?
