Bucket,
As soon as we confronted the Mod in question, he resigned from the company before he could be fired, and likely before Jagex even got the info and proof we gave them.
That's fine and dandy, good riddence. But, the account that had literally 1 million dragon bone certs (5 million bones, 43k certs was 1-99 prayer) and millions of other certs, along with several stacks of 2.147 billion gold (which prior had never even been seen) obviously completely destroyed the Classic market for the remainder of its days.
What had and still has me heated is the fact that the player the Mod was leaking recovery details to was never punished, and was allowed to continue to dump what he had already obtained rather than Jagex taking action and stopping the economic collapse of a game already crippled by their ignorance.
Even up until the final day of Classic, the ONLY form of currency that was not severely crippled were the discontinued Holliday items.
Thus, they basically became the only form of currency.
I know is not exactly what you're looking for, but I certainly can't post ALL of the information we sent Jagex, which would seal the deal for you, simply because everything omitted is personal information not allowed here.
While I would love for EVERYONE to rally up and fight for Classic, the point of this entire rant was moreso to say that Jagex's reasonings for the closure was solely monetary, and to just pop in and drop a bomb like "Hey, everything you've worked on for 17 years is being deleted and you get absolutely nothing for it" then ghost was just plain wrong.
Even player/forum moderators have resigned due to the way they have treated us.
What's happened to Classic and it's community is a downright disgrace, and it's so much worse than anyone that didn't play the game thinks it is.
