I try to avoid meltdown mode. It's not something I seek out or do intentionally, it is an event that occurs in nature.
I learned that I need the zuk capes, I remember I had saved progress there so I tried to see if I could make any more progress. That was too much, having to travel back so I waited until I could get it as a reaper task. From there I did eventually beat him and I was like oh, this is super easy.
Well, it's not super easy. It is if you are very fast, and playing for the future. The bottom line is I quickly fell into a state of sensory overload. My dude is getting hit every time, screaming in pain. I am eating, making mistakes, being set back.
Like why does eating drain your adrenaline? Why not just squash me like a grape instead? So I made a mistake, I was too slow. Congratulations game. Now I am miserable.
Anyways, it got so ugly that War decided to step in and have mercy. He was like nope, I saw that, it was totally unfair.
Edit: I'd also like to point out Zuk's comments don't help the situation. I get it, I am not good enough. Wonderful.
