I just got a warning for RWT. That is beyond insanity. Everything I have can be tied directly to a very small number of drops.

I got 2 cores. Check it out.

I got an Azure Sunshiine on TH. Check it out.

I feel betrayed and I am literally shaking. This is an attack beyond anything I ever imagined.

OK, so I did trade with one player. Someone at the GE asked me to buy some shards. My first reaction was not to, but in my mind if I got stuck with them it is no problem. The game is encouraging us to trade outside the GE with the tax so I thought it was worth a test of my ability to not get scammed.

If you actually have records of the purchase I made, I had no idea what I was doing. I was buying them in small amounts and checking the value because math.

I was incredibly careful to get the correct amount and it was. IF that dude was up to something I have no idea. But the message is well received. No more trades. Certainly not buying anything for anyone.

On the other hand, it would be awesome if they actually eliminated this problem to begin with. I have no concept of WHY they would even do RWT with the systems we have in place.

I am so disappointed about this. To consider the amount of time I have in this game and my squeaky clean record they could straight out accuse me of buying gold. I am one of the least efficient players and my game wealth is probably a joke to most players at this level.

But it's what I have and I am satisfied with my progress. If it was about the player trade it was mis-worded because I received nothing. It was an even trade.

The thought that one action like this, which I considered to be a positive experience in my gaming could destroy everything I did here over all these years is heartbreaking.

What if I had traded with another player in a similar way? With only good intentions that's the end?

It's a sad day for me, and this could literally happen to anyone.

Regardless of anyone's opinion, this highlights a serious flaw in the system. Everyone who cares about this game should be concerned. Especially those who can investigate and improve it.

My wealth matches my drops. I have nothing to hide. I'm not involved in ANY cheating in the game ever. How can someone else's actions be a bannable offense? If so I am more a victim than anything.

If trading among players is the source of so much harm why is it allowed? Serious question.

I am more happy then ever with the combat, finally got some GP to work with, trying to adapt. But now I have this dark cloud hanging over me. For no apparent reason. It's distracting, makes me lack trust and certainty, and further encourages me to avoid other people at all costs.

The game itself has flagged me as a major cheater. It's not right. At some point in the future maybe something comes up and I have this mark and it might be used against me. I have a strong interest in having it cleared.

On some other level, I don't even care if I have been flagged for anything because I am just playing the game and that should be obvious. But telling me about it and saying I did something very specific and very bad is hurtful.

I was just reminded of one more thing, to be fully transparent. A poster had mentioned certain activity in a chat and I visited it to see if they were being accurate. I said nothing, had no idea what I was reading and left after a minute at most.

The post was hidden, so if that is what triggered my warning, a mod could read the hidden post to confirm the timing and the source of my interest.

I have literally no opinion of what I saw in that chat. It was beyond my comprehension.

Sorry to hear this. I bet the person you traded with hasn't got any warnings at all. This is why I never buy items for random ppl, this thread confirms it's not a good idea. Jagex needs to apologize for this false accusation they did here. I believe you are completely innocent.

Thank you Jeremy. It's just the thought that my record indicates I bought gold, when it's not even close to the facts.

Just yesterday someone asked me to buy pure essence. I would have done that, but from my POV I am not allowed to engage in the activities I was warned about. To the best of my knowledge that is making even trades with random players. I had no choice but to decline.

In a way this reminds me of something I see with US law enforcement. They will chase someone off with the threat of trespass, but never actually file the paperwork.

The person who was chased away has been done wrong, but there is no official action to complain about, so they are left with uncertainty and fear based on something that doesn't actually exist.

That's how I feel. I'm thinking it was an automatic system made by employees long gone. From what I found online the general thought is they are either guilty or they traded with a RELATED account that was involved.

I'm not involved in any of that and the records should indicate my innocence. Beyond that, I was reminded I had my runemetrics off due to some comments I had seen on the forum, but I opened that up again to show only drops. I think it takes 24 hours to adjust settings.

I'm not AFK , I'm not flipping, I'm not cheating. I am playing the game. In one moment they devalued everything I have accomplished and said I MUST be cheating.

So sad.

if i see anyone with a partyhat i instantly report them for rwt

best case scenario, they did rwt and get banned
worst case scenario they will rwt down the road and get caught early

What BS is that? If anyone needs to be reported it is you for making false accusations. Stop with that.

This is just another example of how RWTers are more important than real live players. Its too bad the folks issuing the warnings cant seem to tell the difference.

People ask all the time for other players to help them get around GE item limits, some of which dont even make sense. Like bear fur - you can only buy 400 an hour. Why? Did someone once RWT with bear fur? Did bears almost become extinct in RS?

If shards are an issue, players should at least be warned about helping people at the GE with them. An official announcement: "Dont help players get around shard limits at the GE or you may be accused of RWT!"

Im sorry this happened to you Roddy. You shouldnt be shaking just because you wanted to help another player.
