Thank you for your kind words too! I often visit the various RS fansites forums. I have always appreciated the hard work of these fansite administrators & their communities. After all some of these fansites have been up & running longer than the RS Wiki has.
It is a shame that Mod Shauny hasn't reached out to these Jagex Official Recognized Fansites to award those communities the in-game title like he awarded the RS Wiki community with. Good gravy, it has almost been two years since he made the following statement.
It appears awarding the in-game title to the other Jagex Official Recognized Fansites wasn't really something that was going to happen after all. For all intents & purposes awarding RS Wiki the in-game title was a "one site thing" after all.
Mod Balance prior to his leaving Jagex had also mentioned awarding the RSOF community an in-game title too. This never happened either.
I guess I am a bit old school in my thinking that keeping true to ones word should mean something. Shame really.
Nevertheless, I will keep advocating for the in-game titles for all of the Jagex Official Recognized Fansites & for the RSOF community as well.
There have been a number of threads written about the pros & cons of purchasing the Premier Club membership package this year so I decided to check them out since I was trying to make up my mind if I wanted to purchase the full year membership package. This is not to imply that the forum was void of these types of threads in prior years by no means since they were tons of threads written in prior years too.
RSOF Premier Club

What makes this year a bit different is that some people are saying that Jagexs performance this year has been dismal to say in the least & has failed to live up to the customers bare minimal expectations. So, yeah, they say that every year too...but, I am going to have to agree that Jagexs performance this year has been dismal to say in the least & has failed to live up to this customers bare minimal expectations too. What makes this worse is that I am a shareholder too.
On my quest to find out more about the Premier Club 2019 I decided to start with Google. Top two search results were excellent.
I click on Premier Club - RuneScape link & this takes me to the Premier Club webpage:
https://www.runescape.com/premier-club
The webpage looks great. There is information on the benefits of each type of membership package. There are links to purchase either the bronze, silver or gold membership package & at the bottom of the page there is a link to the FAQ.
I went from a RS themed style webpage to a block semi-modern style webpage. What the heck Jagex! I had to check my google search bar to make sure I was still on the RS website. Anyhoo, I am sure there are those that will say "hey Wind, there is the RS brand name in the left hand corner on the block semi-modern webpage".
Well, for those folks I will have to say, "ya'all have no sense of style", *flips hair*
So I click on Premier Club 2019 link. I end up here:
Okay, what was I looking for...oh yeah, the FAQ. On this webpage for the FAQ there is a choice of four different links to click on. Mind you the webpage design is still in the block semi-modern style.
After clicking the FORUM button, which btw, doesn't take you to the Premier Club 2019 FAQ but rather takes you to the main menu of the RSOF where you have to use another search box to find what you are looking for! The good news is at least you have landed back on a RS themed webpage...
So here I am on the forums where I have to use another search box...let's take a peek at what forums has to offer me in the way of a Premier Club 2019 FAQ shall we?

What a quest that was. Anyone who can survive Jagexs customer support pages with their sanity intact deserves at least one quest point I say.
In the News Discussion forum you will also find the following thread on Premier Club 2019. Basically the OP of this thread contains two links that direct the user to other threads rather than providing any content within the opening post on the Premier Club 2019.

What a hot mess...not sure who thought providing links to click on rather than content in an opening post on a forum thread was a good idea but they might want to reconsider how it appears to the customers when links are only provided. All I can say is that you got the posting a link skill down pat, now how about practicing the copy & paste skill too in future update threads.
This got me thinking, can you imagine what it would be like if Jagex had to answer customer support calls?!
*imagine*
"If you want blah, press 1 or blah, press 2", only then being told to press some other number after you press that number that sends you deeper into the 'keep on keeping on pressing numbers abyss' only to be placed on hold for hours on end & in the end you get disconnected...
Please for the love of Pete get it together. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Solution:
Including Content In The Opening Post vs. Providing Only Links
The solution is pretty simple really & I shouldn't have to spell it out, however, perhaps the following feedback may provide some insight as to why perhaps this type of format change is not a positive change for the forum community.
I get the click on the link scenario on customer support webpages, but when it comes to posting information on forums the opening post should include the content of the update as opposed to just providing a link to a base news article for the following reasons.
Some people are saying that posting only links in an opening post that is introducing an update on a forum in lieu of actual content makes folks who posted the thread look like they are lackluster in the sense they do not give two hoots & a holler about the community they are addressing, (you know, the folks that are using the companies own official forums).
Not only that, posting only links in an opening post also tends to give the appearance that the person doesn't really want to be posting on the forum in the first place, like they drew the short straw or something too.
In addition, some people have also indicated that perhaps someone who only posts links may not posses the basic word processing skills to include the content in the opening post, (hence why only adding a link is provided). Good gravy, let's hope that notion is not true.
What ever the reason for this change, folks are not happy about this recent change in format & I don't blame them one bit.

The following is an article that was written back in October. My bad, I had met to share it earlier. Marie Mejerwall is working on an unknown Jagex project at this time and she is working now as Senior Game Designer.
Her experiences in Esports would be a valuable networking resource for OSRS & RS3 Esport coordinators to utilize for ideas in attracting women gamers to participate within the competitive field of future RS Esport events. It would be great to see Jagex encourage RS women gamers to compete in Jagexs Esports events.

Reddit - November Feedback submitted 29 Nov 2018 by Mod Shauny
[END]
Commentary
As noted in a number of replies made to the thread found on RSOF some folks thought it strange that the thread Feedback: November was even created since each week the RGU forum is full of feedback threads about each of the updates listed. When I read the OP I thought the same thing too & my first thought was isn't anyone at Jagex reading these threads & taking notes?
I mean, really now, how many more ways does Jagex really need to gather feedback? After all Jagex has their own website, gathers feedback from Reddit, Twitter, FB, Instagram, & other social media platforms. Not only are the employees gathering feedback & passing it along (so we are told), Jagex also is paying subcontractors to gather the feedback to pass along too.
Then it dawned on me that maybe it wasn't so much that additional 'feedback' that was needed for the report but rather the "...letting me know how you found the content" portion of the report that may have been lacking information.
After a review of each of these threads it appears that 'the report' would still be void of that information if someone was counting on that information coming forth from those threads since not one reply on either thread provided that information.
Solution:
If wanting to know where the customer finds content is what Jagex is really after may I suggest the direct approach. Just ask the customer where they are getting their information from & forget the filler.
Suggestion:
Utilizing a survey method for collecting that type of information is usually the best route to take. Utilizing analytical software which will provide specific traffic information is another option.
