It appears that Jagex is allowing middle management out of the Ivory Tower to try their hand at communicating with the customers...First Mod Nav, now a Mod Chicken has emerged from the comfy confines of the Ivory Tower too.

Mod Chicken?!?!?! Omg, first off, nice name!

I hereby put forth the motion that all Jmods be reassigned bird names. Who will second that motion?

Anyhoo, the following threads provide answers as to why the customers of Jagex have not been given any follow-up information regarding RunePass.

After all the delay & all of the blah blah blah, here is the statement on RunePass. Tbh, the answers to some of the questions were more insightful than the statement was.

FYI, just in case someone at Jagex may be wondering what type of statement the customers were expecting they might want to take a look at how such statements were written in the past. Those can be found on page 59 post 7 of this thread.

@Wilf, Hi, the Wiki article referenced by CM Nick does give you the basics about RunePass. At the end of that article it does even mention a bit about the controversy surrounding it too.

However, what the Wiki article isn't going to tell you is how badly Jagex blew the opportunity to include RunePass as a viable stable long term MXT product because they failed to address obvious issues associated with it prior to its release. All one has to do is look at the introduction of RunePass to see why this project was destined to fail.

Anyhoo, just in case you missed it on page 62.9 through page 63.3 contain images of threads that discuss RunePass, (along with a lengthy commentary following those images on post 63.4-7). On page 64.4 you will find the image of the thread where Mod Osborne states that his version of the follow-up statement on RunePass was not approved by management so folks would have to wait.

It appears that Mod Osborne stopped posting about RunePass after that statement. Was kinda weird since he was the person who was answering the questions about RunePass on Reddit.

Needless to say, no one from Jagex bothered to answer any questions about RunePass that were posted on RSOF.

Within the content of this thread I have shared a wide variety of player authored threads that can be found right here on RSOF that may have been missed by the wider forum community. A friend of mine shared a link to an Op-ed written by one of our HLF community members Bentoki.

I was unable to reach Bentoki in-game to acquire permission to share this Op-ed here so I ask my friend who has HLF access to ask for me on the thread in the HLF. Bentoki has granted permission to share his Op-ed here.

I enjoyed reading it & I thought the LLF community might enjoy reading it too. Well done Bentoki, keep writing & I sure will keep reading! Thank you for allowing me to share this with the wider forum community.
