"Under the 'new' rules this thread was locked because 'I've locked this as bot threads only upset the Community.'
Of all the things that have been posted to RSOF since the 'new' rules have taken effect, I did not realize that it was 'bot threads' that had contributed to the division of the RSOF community & was what has upset some of the long time users of RSOF to take a respite away from the forums recently."
Made me chuckle.
Also Lyon's post was from 2016?
In some cases maybe, but in some not so. It should help remove different actions depending on the mod etc:
For instance you'll recall goading Dong about reporting a thread on fhelp and the reviewing mod not locking it yet the mod who came to hide that post then went and locked it. That is a discrepancy and it wasn't addressed by the reviewing jmod who said it had since been locked no more.
They should find out the reason the first mod didn't lock it and why the second one did and then give guidance on what they would like to see happen. If this does happen the jmod should say something to that effect.
Regardless the thread has long been a joke to me the jmods who run it are as far as I'm concerned terrible at it and when questioned seem to default to threats/strikes because they can't offer anything in response???
The most recent one for me was being told I post in a deliberatly abrasive manner and that I should change it.... meanwhile on page 9 Matthe tells another user that "FMods are forum users too. While the posting style is abrasive it is far from unmodly behaviour."
Wilf being abrasive: You should change you're a bad person!!!
Fmod being abrasive: NO problem not even unmodly WE LOVE YOU.
I'd be interested if the number of posts has changed since the rules have changed
