I also agree with some of the ideas. The Whole Community as well as the Forum Mod team have asked and better asked for more Jagex support around here. Until Jagex engage with the Forums I honestly can't see much changing.

Jagex needs to engage with the Community on their own Forums and still be able to use other Social Media. No one is asking them not too just spread some love around the Forums for a while. ;)

Without metrics allowing you to accurately assess whether something is happening it's hard to keep accountability or even discuss the topic. One option is a JMod panel where we can see all JMod posts in a particular section easily, similar to the existing account level forum posting overviews.

Another option is to "invoke" or "request" a JMod response in a way that is against the rules to abuse, with metrics for how often this invocation worked. This is similar to @'ing a JMod on... other social media websites

the forums definitely need some level and attention, i recently spoke about this and basically suggested giving an ingame perk or customisation maybe a title to those that contribute to the RSOF, This will not only reward the few players who actively contribute on the forums, but give an incentive for others in game to check out the forums in order to try get that customisation and maybe stick around, most players dont know these forums even exist and those that do cant see the point in looking at anything beyond their one clan thread or one trading thread, so we have hundreds of people checking a single thread and never reading anyone elses, an incentive could get those players to browse the forums.

Beyond that it turns into a shockwave where he tell her who tells him and before you know it theres more activity on the forums because of some random scroll that gives a funny emote of someone posting a scroll in a mailbox and posty pete shows up to whisk the note to the official forums :P , not exactly that but one can dream

My post from the other forum

Another way to bring life to these forums is to create some type of ingame reward of perk for post count the forumers are not really known in game a nice title or a cape with an emote for 1000, 5000, 10,000 and 20,000 forum posts will get more to come and participate while rewarding the existing forum community

What a horrid idea. We don't want people posting on the forums merely to receive in-game items. We want them posting to post. Do we really want a bunch of spam posts by people who want nothing to do with this place but want a cosmetic?

How else do you perceive getting people on the forums, sure add a lick of paint swap some things around at the end of the day these forums only come to life maybe twice a year for jmod events, mainly the christmas Ad-venture

By making them extremely usable and integrated into the game so players know they exist, see the utility, and come and want to post. If you create goals like "20k posts" you will just get those threads where people post spam to increase their post count which used to happen even back when there were no rewards

Uhh, by making the forums actually engageable like they used to be.

We already have enough "spam" threads with the forum game ones.

It doesnt need to be made worse.

i just know from previous times when jagex did their puzzles on the forums for ingame rewards they actually became active for the duration of the event so if you want to get players to actually read the forums then there needs to be some type of ingame incentive
