I absolutely
HATE IT
. Make it an easier puzzle that requires some logic. I've seen some really simple ones like choosing dice with the right number etc.

If it already wasn't bad enough, now the damn images are blurry.

A more technically adept clanmate also suggests that clearing all Cloudflare cookies from your system might help. These have file names like:

cf_chl_seq_*

where the * is a string of letters and numbers

I understand Jagex doesn't want to remove the CAPTCHA for the reasons Mod Lyon gave, but can we at least tone it down?

It would be nice if successfully completing a challenge makes a device trusted for (say) 24 hours.

After not getting the Captcha for a while I had it twice within 2 minutes. First when I clicked the log in button then again after I'd entered my details and hit the enter button. Why?? I wouldn't be surprised if I got it
again
when I log out! :@ :@ :@

I've tried disabling add-ons and deleting the cookies, which did eliminate the CAPTCHA prompt completely. Enabling a single add-on - whether it's a password manager, anti-malware advisor or ad blocker - caused the prompt to reappear. Refreshing the page now skips the CAPTCHA without having to do anything to solve it (with all add-ons enabled and the aforementioned CloudFlare sites whitelisted). I can only assume this was because the CAPTCHA was not meant to appear in the first place.

It is clear that the overall implementation is broken. This really does need to be investigated as many users of desktop browsers will be using add-ons. Interestingly, the CAPTCHA prompt does not appear at all for me on Firefox for Android, despite having one of the same privacy add-ons activated with no whitelisting.
