You might have not noticed it or forgotten but your contribution to overall acceptation of players amongst players has improved due to your labour and that of others.
The RuneScape Community have become better due to your work. :)

Community Led forums follow the same rules as all the other forums AFAIK, including but not limited to Clan Recruitment, Marketplace etc.

Just because they are called "community led" forums doesn't mean the community helpers make special rules out of them.
All forums follow the same rules, there's no exception.

I am not suggesting anything to FH. I am simply raising a discussion on whether Community Led forums are needed or working as intended or it is better for us to do something to them like removing them. It is not resolving around FH at all.
The Community-Led sub-forums are working as intended. If you wish to see for yourself, just take a look around them, specially, the Community Led Account Help sub-forum. This specific sub-forum is the most active of the three, consisting of 26,594 threads made and 148,073 posts added at the time of this post of mine. As an addendum, it's also the sub-forum with the most active Community Helpers and Mod Stevew (occasionally). With that being said, I am 100% certain that this sub-forum is working as it should be and the Community Helpers involved are doing an outstanding job by responding whenever they are available and by escalating issues to Jagex if the situation merits it.

Having multiple threads of the same issue all throughout the Forums does not mean that a specific sub-forum is not working as intended, let alone that it should be removed for such a scenario. People looking for help tend to not do a search prior to creating their own threads because they want the ability to express themselves and to have unique responses to their thread. It does not mean that the sub-forum in question where this thread should be posted is considered "useless", as you claim.

Just so you know, the Community-Led sub-forums will NOT be removed given the fact that if this were to be carried out, it also means that Jagex has to get rid of Community Helpers. This initiative has been ongoing since at least May 2015 when Jagex introduced Twitter Community Helpers and it has worked perfectly! Following that, Forum Community Helpers were added on January 2016 and they have done wonders here for the community.

[...Continued from above...]

If this actually becomes an issue, then the right approach -- for now, at least, since we do not have an official Jagex response and we do not know if a Jagex Moderator will ever post here on your thread -- is to alert the Forum Moderators/CMs of your concerns regarding duplicate and/or misplaced threads. Forum Moderators try their best to move/lock duplicate/misplaced threads whenever they can and whenever they see it; however, as it's obvious, please remember that Forum Moderators are not obligated to action a thread.

We do need these Community-Led sub-forums and if it's true that people are posting everywhere about their issues, what is the problem there? Just like I said before, if I am able to help them, I do and then I ask an F-Mod to move the thread to the correct sub-forum so that it has a better reception and for others with similar issues to see such a thread. And, if I were an F-Mod/CH, I'd first answer their questions/concerns, I'd then lock/move the thread, whichever is necessary and I'd finally try my best to educate them for future references.

Duplicate threads are closed if the F-Mods deem it necessary and they cannot close it unless they see it, so, with that being said, the best way to nudge them is to use Forum Help. This is the same for misplaced threads around the Forums.

In conclusion, we should be focusing on how to improve the Community-Led sub-forums and the Forums as a whole, for that matter. We shouldn't be focusing on removing ANY sub-forum given the sad fact that we are already short-handed and we barely see 5-10 active users at any given time. Imagine what would happen to those active users if we removed the Community-Led sub-forums. It is not something that's ideal. Let's focus on updating the Forums software, as mentioned by Hmm, because that'd definitely bring more traffic to our community.

Personally I think the Community led forums do serve their purpose. The Community Helpers and others who help without the title to an amazing job.

As far as I'm concerned (speaking for myself) I will make every effort to move threads into the appropriate Support forum where appropriate, providing the player didn't already create one there too, in which case I'll just close the misplaced one instead of moving it.

In very rare circumstances will we have what seems to be duplicate threads (e.g the stickies regarding the Login Lockout issue) in say Account Help and General but that's more for informational purposes and reaching the wider community and doesn't happen to often to my recollection.

What's your opinion on telling the users making and posting on duplicate threads outside the stickied thread to use the sticky if it is open for comments? :)

Thanks for the kind words Ana (and you too Corder back on the first page, I avoided commenting then to avoid derailing / be humble and such). And thanks to both of you and the rest of the helpers, Ping, Malua, Pescao, L0ne, Spearmint, LadyOLake, Gymgoer, there's too many to remember off the top of my head but you're all doing a lot and deserve more respect from Jagex than they give you.
Hey, Hmm. I just read this. Thanks for your warm words too. We do try our best to help whenever we can ^_^ .

I just want to say that I have witnessed Joel move a thread and I must say that he's complying with his word. Thanks, Joel :) .
