Hmm can't be happening in any of the sub-forums I frequent, because I haven't noticed this happening? Could you provide some examples? (Name the subforum, not the direct thread as it would count as naming and shaming).

As for removing the sub-forum itself, I can't really comment on it as I never look there, but if it's not being used much, then maybe it should be combined into the other Community Led forums?
I too would love to see some examples of the issue that OP has mentioned in their first post of this thread.

As for merging them into one, I do not believe this is ideal. Yes, everyone there is looking for help, but they should stay separated to keep everything organized. I believe that having threads for account, payment and technical support on the same sub-forum may be confusing to everyone involved, even Community Helpers trying to assist those in needed. To be honest, I do not see any issue(s) with the Community-Led sub-forums as they stand. They have been working as intended since the very beginning and I am sure that they will keep working perfectly thanks to the Community Helpers and the occasional Mod Stevew ^_^ .

What if the community support forum group was moved up instead? If they're the first forums listed, maybe they'd be easier to find for people looking for support. People that don't use or visit those forums could just minimize the group.
If I remember correctly, someone suggested this many eons ago and the response given was that companies do not want to show their support sub-forums first because it'd give the impression that people need help all the time and this does not look good from a business point of view.

Well, they could then have the support forums appear only when logged in which prevents them from being listed by web crawlers or what ever else.

Someone new to the forums who is looking for help when they feel their issue is urgent, such as their account is hijacked or banned, they can't play due to technical issue, or a negative balance - they are more likely to post in the first forum they come across that they feel would be valid (such as General) or that sounds like a support forum but isn't (Website and Forums) when the actual support forums way down the list.

I think some mod did quite a bit of clean up of duplicated and grave bumped resolved or abandoned threads in the Community Led Technical Support Forum since my post yesterday though. I is a start. :)
Where is this clean up that you speak of? I have checked the first few pages of the Community Led Technical Support sub-forum and such clean up is nowhere to be found.

I don't think you and me are mods, right? We can't see.

We obviously are not moderators, but I am asking you, where is the clean up that you speak of? You said that you "think" some mod did a clean up in Community Led Technical Support and I am wondering, where is this?

I like the idea of having the support sub-forums appear at the very top when you are logged in, just like Off-Topic and Rants. And yes, we both agree that someone looking for help -- it does not necessarily have to do with the fact that they are new, but yes, it's mostly for new players -- will simply post on the first sub-forum that they think their thread would be responded to, most likely General...because it's located at the top of the Forums and because of its title.

Please re-read Page 2, Post 4 where I pointed out those threads directly related to technical support are all over different forums. Yes, I mean re-read because apparently you have read at least part of that post as you mentioned the clean up part. :)

My thread title tells the sub-forum already. No need to name what other forums because we can see users making and bumping up old threads on the same client crashes and graphics issues at least 3 months ago all over different forums - General, Recent Game Update, and even Future (don't know how these users have time machine to come back from the future anyway).
This is very vague. Just because you say "we" it does not make it true and you are including people that have not even seen those threads that you claim. Loki has asked for examples and so have I. You have not provided any that may support your claim. Simply stating, "No need to name because we can see users..." is not a valid point. Who is this "we" that you are referring to? As of right now, it's only you and you have yet to provide any examples of the issues that you are raising here, if any...

OK, can any Fmods, CMs or Jmods tell us why we always put Clan Recruitments, Marketplace, Rants, Compliments among many many other posts to the deisgnated subforums but not those Technical Support, Account Help and Billing posts?

We don't have to go very far away from this Website and Forums forum, there is already one such obviously technical post that has been duplicated in many forums regarding login attempts in THIS VERY forum. :D
