I'm kinda curious what would happen if this was implemented.
Just looking through this thread, i would say there's a decent chance that a number of the contributors to the thread would be blocking each other.

So how would the thread as a whole look to people who hadnt blocked anyone?

I think it would simply look as though some people were studiously ignoring each other.
Which, if they feel strongly enough to block each other, then maybe thats a good idea.

As others have said if you feel a F-Mod did something outside of the guidelines then use Review thread. Jagex will review it. Tuffty said it and that's how it should be treated thus discussing/targetting this player should stop right here.

I would suggest if someone has submitted a report to FMR, that they leave the issue there and await the CM team to review. Racism has no place on the RSOF, and if I saw it the post would be hidden and our CM team made aware immediately. For now, I would suggest everyone discussing a particular incident as I say leave it with FMR.

As for the block suggestion, I was trying to stay out of this so a pleasant discussion could carry on but clearly that's not possible at the moment. I would suggest you all stop discussing your personal vendettas, remember you're on a forum about a video game and either take a break from posting / reading replies from individuals or spend some time elsewhere.

Not to say I don't enjoy when we can have a good discussion about how we'd like the RSOF or other services the web team provides and I look forward to participating in discussions in the future with you all about them.

May I please ask, what are your individual thoughts on this specific feature? I'm fully aware of the time constraints that you guys are experiencing, but is there any hope for this feature or any other Forums update on the horizon that you may share with the community?

It might reduce trouble as I mention above.
But on the other hand, it might turn a lot of threads into nonsense - a whole bunch of disconnected conversations in one big sprawling mess.

I guess we'll never know since it would involve doing a bunch of work for something that is, at best, speculative. Certainly, there is no consensus in this thread.

It isn't something I would advocate for if we had unlimited time. I would expect forum users to be mature, take advantage of the (improved, at this point) moderation tools available to them (report to a JMod etc.) and move on with their days.

However, I'm not the person making those decisions about what's most important in our team so they may view things differently.

that is the main problem i would see.

is just loads of threads that wont make sense, especially if people dont quote who they are responding to.
