There might be 237 users at once, but the users at one time of day are different than the users at another time. People sign off, do stuff IRL, go to sleep, etc. I'm sure the forums have at least 2,000 or 3,000 unique visitors every day. Probably most of them visit more than 1 forum as well.
Yes, there's lots. But I don't think it's a problem. Lots of sections mean threads survive longer and stay on Page 1 of their respective sections for longer.
They already removed one of the suggestion forums and combined several of the marketplace sections which caused all kinds of problems. It doesn't help anyone really.
In terms of overall forum activity 2 people in 100 different sections is no different to 20 people in 10 sections, it would only mean our threads would need to be bumped more often and it would be more difficult to find things.

I don't think I've ever seen so many people receive permanent forum bans in such a short period of time.
It's not a laughing matter but wow, you'd think some people would figure out to stop spamming the forums after multiple mutes and forum strikes...
