I'd say gravebumping isn't that bad in this section (assuming that the thread being gravebumped has some discussion value).
The bit in brackets there is the key! If the thread has discussion value then that's fine (although not sure how it'd get to page 50 in a relatively slow moving forum area in that case) - grave bumping just for the intent of keeping them from Chewy though is not really very helpful.
Example, I recently used the 'search' feature to look for information on how to adjust the in-game interface since in it's default state is rather annoying to try to play (at least for me). The interface update has been around for a number of months but I haven't played in-game since the update to rs3. Needless to say I had a few questions. The majority of the threads I saw on the interface had relevant information but only relevant to the time of the update. It was reasonable for me to believe that the interface update was 'tweaked' since the original update since that is pretty much SOP for Jagex when it comes to updates.
In this case, if I posted to one of those threads that the relevant information might appeared to be outdated and didn't answer any of the questions I had and not knowing what forum page the thread I was viewing was listed on I might of been moderated for 'grave bumping', when all I wanted to do was ask a question on a topic that a thread has already been created on.
When you open the thread from the search feature you do not know what page the thread is on in the forum. Then there is the issue that the forum guidelines do not say that I couldn't post to a thread if the thread was on page 49 (even though I wouldn't know the thread was on page 49 because I arrived at the thread via the search feature).
I do understand the point(s) Chrisso is making but at the same time other areas such as updating the guidelines to reflect those points and correcting forum flaws would need to be addressed as well.
'Make sure to check threads for relevancy before bumping them. Threads that discuss issues that are no longer relevant or that are replicated on more active threads, should not be bumped.'
What do others think?

I was thinking more along the lines of suggesting to add "Chuck Norris says" to what is already posted in the FSR. Then maybe add a picture of a leg roundhouse kicking a skull and crossbones at the end or a stop sign with an X over a picture of a coffin.

There have been threads that are (usually) small ideas that get pretty much unanimous support. When people have said all there is to say it'll tend to slide back a few pages.
Anybody noticed the lack of forum specific rules for OSRS stuff. The marketplace has the button, but the rules are just "." like somebody was gonna edit them in later.
Every thread on page 1 of this forum has ChillWithMe as the "Latest Post" awwwwww yeeeeeeeee. Writing this glorious historic moment down to cement its place in history!!!

That being the primary problem with so many forum users these days... not reading anything before posting.
I remember there used to be a page before you entered the forums with a list of the CoC and you couldn't enter the forums until you said you read them all.
