I can confirm that logging in through Steam seems to work to bypass this as well. I was locked out of my account on the main client, but once I tried to log in through Steam, it worked on the first try.

I have the same problem since a few hours, unable to login from my laptop, but also my computer at home. (so different ip adresses), but give the same error. Login in at the website to check my account has no problems at all.
Is it possible that it happened because I used a total of 3 devices today?

It says, too many login attempts from this address, wait 5 minutes.......

I'm currently experiencing the same problem. I have always logged in using my original username that I used back in 2003. It's showing me the "Too many login attempts" message. When I try to login using my email address, it's saying that the account is locked.

Incredibly frustrating, I've had to launch an appeal to recover my account. I was able to login only 6 hours ago. What has happened in that time?!

Having the same issue. Am able to log in on my phone on the same network as desktop but not on the desktop.

I still can't log in due this BS ... I am so fucking over it ... instead of fixing the broken shit in this game they choose to waste months of our rs time on adding rs to steam ... yay more shit to break that will NEVER get fixed

jagex needs to fix this. we pay for our memberships we all should be refunded. i'm a yearly subscriber this happens once a month or more disappointing. Once the problem is fixed ill resub but untill then i have 0 faith in the game with all the dirty things that have happened. Sad to say but half these problems will NEVER be fixed please help my account havent been able to loggin in for weeks too many login attempt i pay for memebrs

Unbelievable... same issue happening again. Nothing fixes it. I can even log in with different accounts, but seems my main is totally barred from entry.

Honestly pathetic from Jagex how long this has been going on. Will we get another J-mod reply, or are they continuing to refuse to engage?
