Im using email to login so it affect both type of people. I tried everything but without success. I'm using data at my phone i will be able to play at my phone but not some difficult pvm. Jagex should change their way to recognize some annoying bot from normal people. I don't know how that works in their security system but there is more game that never seen that too many logins problem. I know people you are mad but in this community section are players so don't be rude to each other. I hope they will fix this asap and we meet again in the game ;) . Btw that problem pressist by me one week.

Going to respond to some assumptions here.

1) It doesn't matter if you are using email or your original name to login, the issue can happen on both. Having said that, newer accounts potentially face the error on a less frequent basis.

2) The issue can appear if you just logged in an hour ago and logged out or if you are logging in from a completely different account that you last used months ago. This has been my experience at least.

3) VPN works, however some VPN servers may give the same error, so you might need to switch to another VPN sever or a different VPN completely.

4) Once you get the error, do not try logging in 20-30 minutes later. Generally you will still be locked out and extend the timer. However, if you are lucky, you may be able to login. My own experience went something like this:

I first face the issue on an alt, so I think hack attempt/jagex bug, so I ignore it. It goes away on it's own. I keep facing it on an increased frequency on multiple accounts until it gets to the point that I am locked out for several hours. Thanks to the most recent DXP, I have been locked out for 1-2 days on end. The DXP also seemed to increase the frequency of this error being experienced by more players.

5) The problem is not only the fact that Jagex's security measure is locking out genuine players but the deafening silence that's accompanied it. I understand that Jagex are not in a place to share security details of their systems (rightly so) but right now the affected players do NOT know at all whether to hold out for a solution or give up and leave. Some of us have taken breaks from the game only to see the bug still persist several months in.

Generic corporate response on Jagex Support's twitter does not address the communication issue, I do not quite understand what's so difficult about making an official statement.

6) It was suggested players just cancel their subs. How does it benefit players? If there is a fix, most of us will resub anyway.

I'm sorry, but this is just not acceptable or sufficient as a response. To me, as a customer, it does not matter how many other players are affected or that it is a small group. So I'm part of a minority, why does that matter? It's just not relevant in establishing blame here. When (pandemic aside) I visit a restaurant and get food poisoning, I don't care that other customers did not get food poisoning, the restaurant screwed up my meal and I'd expect a reimbursement and an apology. If I have allergies, and I note that to the waiter, but the restaurant still gives me food I'm allergic to and I get ill, the restaurant still screwed up regardless of "people with those specific allergies are only a small minority". We're still being blocked out regardless. And saying there is'nothing to fix' is just blatantly wrong when the problem here is bright as day. Legitimate players can't log in. The cause might be obscure, but it is still the job of Jagex to fix these things. We should not be required to spend our money on different internet connections or mobile data just to access a game because of errors on Jagex side. If it's only a small number of accounts being affected, reimbursing those accounts should be feasible.

I can not login, keep saying too many login attempts wait 5 minutes. Well its been around 7 hours now. Other family members can login on their comps and my laptop. I cant login on my laptop nor the other 2 comps in my house even rs app on my cell phone says same thing. I restarted my modem, cleaned my comp, redownloaded rs game client still can not log in. But i can log in to webpage and forums.

After having no problems for a few days I now have the too many login attempts-disease again..... This is so sad and I feel sorry for everyone else infected with this thing.
