It’s easy enough to say you don’t care and can just ignore them, but at the same time I consistently see you arguing with various different forumers. Why not just ignore them?

Also for comparison:
• Dilbert - 18,580 posts
• SilverCloud - 3,691 posts

I’m hardly everywhere now am I?

If you are not interested in my post, how can you see me arguing with the other posters? :D

Because It’s so hard to miss, if I don’t see a particular argument I’m bound to find one of the other seven you’ve got ongoing…

Anyway I said earlier on that I’m fine with your comments, they don’t bother me.
You’ve even supported my ideas in the past so I certainly wouldn’t be blocking you. :P

Please don't deflect the topic to me, a user in the forum, and just answer the question why can't you just ignore my posts if you are not interested in discussing with me?

In fact, if you intend to just ignore me, you shouldn't be even in this thread trying to talk about me instead of the "block" function on topic.

Just take a compliment Dilbert, however small. “I’m fine with your comments” and have no intention of ignoring them.
I’m not deflecting you posed a question, I answered whilst staying on topic by referring to the proposed block feature, why it’s needed and how difficult it’d be to ignore someone who constantly appears everywhere.

Many users have commented on like 10 different threads today, but I have made 0 replies to them, neither have you apparently. For instance, there is one user who just bumps a thread for certain website help post like every few hours that you and me don't seen to have engaged in discussions with his 10+ posts today.

It is certainly not hard at all to select the posts we want to reply to and ignore the others. As such, despite of having his name and thread seen almost all the time on top of the General forum, nobody seems to have any problem ignoring it when they are not interested to contribute so the last post of the thread was getting close to one month old. Evidently nobody needs to block this user and his call for website help as we all picked the easiest way to just ignore it. :)

Let's say Abby Taylor has me blocked on the RSOFs. I just posted in this thread right now. If my post becomes hidden or invisible to OP as soon as I post it, then I am in favor of such a feature. Obviously, this would also apply to other people that'd have be added to their personal Ignore List. I think that
Spearmint30
was spot-on with his views regarding your suggestion. I wholeheartedly believe that I couldn't have said it any better.

It's unfair to make it so that it becomes hidden to everyone. If this were the case, then it'd be too harsh and too prohibitive; however, if it'd work the same way the in-game Ignore List works, then I see this working as intended. Just know that these Forums are very archaic, which makes it a bit harder to update/upgrade since the code is proprietary of Jagex. Not to mention that upgrading/updating the Forums has been pushed down all the way to the low-priority spot throughout the last few years.

In any case, count me in.

Couldn't Jagex simply expand the code that allows Forum Mods (and above) to hide a post to be incorporated into such a feature?

Forum Mods hide posts which means that a post has its permission flags set to "H" (or whatever) for everyone; the personal ignore list could do the same thing when it detects a post or thread by a person on the list. Instead of the "This post/thread has been hidden" message, the post is simply not loaded for that person.
