I've had a quick flick through but it's basically a low carb diet which suggests you have 1 type of protein (fish, meat, eggs, w/e) with 2 x veg for every meal.

I don't follow it, I mainly stick to the staple carbs + protein (chicken and rice, fish and rice, chicken and sweet potato, frittata type meals with minced beef/cheese/potato)
Yep that first one sounds closely to what I was doing, as for the latter it sounds much more appetizing I'll definitely try it when I go full on bulk!

rest of the day I make a bowl with rice OR pasta OR potato + chicken AND some fish + veggies (mainly and almost always broccolli). I eat from this bowl from noon till the end of the day(empty by late evening), approx every 2 hours. The breakfast and bowl don't fill 100% of my calories because I like to save some space for fruit :P
oh I like that plan! Would of never thought to do that tbh, the one bowl all day thing.  I've been doing small handfuls of things like nuts, mini bell peppers, and spinach, for those 2 hr intervals, definitely giving the bowl thing a shot!

Glad I'm not the only one who likes fruit, I feel like it was one of the main reasons I stayed at my plateau, in that, I overate my allowance in them. With that said, I think that's why everyone looks at carbs so badly, some people get cravings when they eat them and don't feel full. Kid you not, when I heard Chris from Family Guy say, "no one ever taught me about carbs" it struck my curiosity, then after looking into it and trying it I saw results was astounded. Although, that's was only for BF%, my strength increase could have been a lot more, I think, if I did eat more of them.

Anyways, thanks ya'll, I'm feeling a lot more confident in topping my previous experience!

Btw, I've been trying to lose a few kg of fat before getting back into weightlifting, haven't really been working out for over 2 years now. Does anyone know a diet plan that works? I've just been cutting down on calories and sugar basically, but that's about it. Any suggestions would be nice :)

I run for 30 minutes a day and do some other excercises as well too.

How do I gain weight? I currently don't work out, but when I did, I would eat well and still not put much weight on, I've been pretty skinny my whole life, and don't really know how to actually fill out properly..

I don't want to use any sort of supplements etc., just looking for tips on maybe diets that would work on cohesion with some moderate exercises to help me look more.. well filled out?

Any advice would be great, could probably research this myself online, but I'd rather see what some fellow Runescapers can come up with.

Cravings FROM carbs? :o On the contrary, carbs are good stomach fillers! :P

If you eat well and don't put on weight, you're...not eating well enough! :D
Start counting your calories (and important; start working out again!) and measure
by weeks of 2. So set a certain amount of calories you're going to eat daily (2500 for example) and weigh in each week. If the weight's not going up (it shouldn't go up alot, you should just be able to tell the difference) , add more calories and go for another 2 weeks. (Don't increase your calories too drastically though, you want to get bigger, not fat :P )

You keep at it like this until you hit a number where you notice a change in weight.
Keep weighing in every week, because if you're gaining weight on let's say 3000 calories now, it will eventually slow down and level again. This is normal as you burn more calories from getting bigger. What do you do when you level? Add more calories :)

Edit: As for what to eat I'd just suggest the 60/30/10 I proposed to savior, unless you find something more suitable for you ofcourse. It's just a guideline though, you shouldn't be TOO precise in it, the most important thing is hitting your calories.

[Note] This goes for losing weight and hitting plateaus too; when you are on a caloric deficit and lose weight, after which you hit a platteau after a while, it means you have to decrease you calories further as you've lost weight and need even less calories now

I used to use Bodybuilding.com a lot for stuff, but the trolling there got out of hand - I know a lot of the guys over at the Misc play runescape. There's some absurdly long thread on it. Hahah.

Lmao I was redirected to that misc. forum sometime last week. I stumbled upon a thread about a guy who got caught urinating in the sink of the men's restroom by his senior VP at work, asking what he should do.

It got derailed into pages upon pages of guys saying they mostly use sinks to urinate etc, but the best advice was " quickly send an email to management you caught the VP pissing in the sink, then no one will believe him"

I know that isn't related to this thread but that had me laughing for the whole evening :p.

lose weight > caloric deficit
gain weight > caloric surplus

its really not hard.. people tend to under/over estimate how much they do or do not eat.

And this is exactly why women who workout won't gain big muscles cuz I doubt you would eat like a race horse to be able to put on all that muscle.
