I think gyazo has been around for a while now, thus quite a few people use it.
But it's not the worst, just the worst popular one imo. There are far worse ones than gyazo and I'm staying well away from them.
Gyazo is used enough for me to justify putting time and resources into it (as in write, host and maintain an API on my site for it) , but not some of the others.
This update is basically doing stuff that wont really be noticed (other than me breaking titles). I don't expect anyone will realise an image is embedded that would have once appeared as link. In some ways these are the best updates as nothing appears to have changed, yet functionality has improved significantly.
It's not just gyazo I did this for, I also applied a similar thing for imgur links that lack file extensions too (that's something I've wanted to do for a while and finally got it done). I'm thinking about making imgur galleries embed too. But I'm not sure that'll be used much.
does that mean gyazo users don't have to put .png at the end now?
Gyazo and Imgur images will embed without the
file extension now. But it comes with a cost
and will load slower.
The round trip from RS Linkify to my site to Gazyo
and back to my site and finally back to RS Linkify
is a pretty decent performance hit just to get the
image format. Then finally after all that
the embedding will take place.
So yes without .png, .jpeg, .gif it'll work. But for
so many reasons I encourage posting direct
links to avoid all the overheads.
Not sure how this will go in the long term.
I have a number of things to consider and
if I'm going to put more work on my site
I want it to be for the right reasons.

Were the titles missing as well? I didn't notice lol. Thanks for fixing it so quickly.
Yep titles and clan names. I don't mess around

Thank you for the update, Indsy. Although I personally don't use Gyazo, I despise it as well, but I know some people use it so it's fine.
I wonder what made them go with that format for their links. It's like so ugly and if the host wasn't as popular as it is, I'd think it's some sort of shady link hiding some malware or something.
It's just slow and not user friendly nor friendly for developers imo.
I really like the way puush do it with images. No file extensions needed because they bother send the correct MIME types in the headers and the link points directly to the source. That means they just work in the browser and slot seamlessly into HTML elements. I wish others would follow suit.

Ty for the response like always - keep up the good work
idk why but my linkify isn't working at all, when i click linkify settings none of the options open up. i've tried updating linkify, turning it on and off. I've done everything i can think of except uninstalling and installing.
