my code is licensed under M.I.T.
Saw this little nugget when you posted it.
It did prompt me to wonder why you chose that specific license as opposed to any one of the number of other open licensing solutions.
Is there is something specific about this license, or any particular reason? I would be interested to hear why.
Just the geek in me surfacing again.

Body btw
I've always been a fan of M.I.T. licence because it's short and readable. You don't have to be a lawyer to understand it. I think the average person can read the licence and get a pretty good idea of how it works.
It's also very much non-restrictive but at the same time the original author of the work always gets acknowledgement. For example: If someone were to make money from my code (not likely tbh) they don't owe me or anyone a thing. I really like that.
At the same time it protects me (protects me as well as any other open source licence does and that's enough).
For anyone who's interested in the licence: https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT
It was going to be about quoting, but I changed my mind so I'll save that for another time. This one is about posting, after all our posts are among the finest on RSOF. So here's some numbers.
Last month (March - 2016) RS Linkify users made over 20,000 posts on RSOF.
Averaging over 700 quality posts day.
Okay quality may not be entirely accurate, but who am I to judge. The fact is we are a fairly active bunch and that's nice to see
Why is there a random white dot before his title?
It's a Jagex thing, not a Linkify thing, but if there isn't a reason for it being there can you sweep it under the rug where specks of dust belong?
