Ah thanks Dsctatom, I expect that explains the slight difference. I'm running a different version of linkify (has a bookmark system in the making) and it has different button properties and appears normal, thus I forgot all about it.
It wasn't until you posted that I went the public version and saw the width is out of whack.
I'll push out a fix shortly, thanks again for the info and your help
Edit:
I'm hoping these style changes will sort it for both versions...
.rsLinkifySdwn, .buttonUp {
vertical-align: middle;
}
div.btn[data-rslinkifyf="rsLinkifySdwn"] a span {
padding: 10px 5px 0 2px;
}

Oh i meant to add this in the other day, I tried adding a link to a countdown calculator to a post recently (in hlf forums) and it wouldn't work. Inspecting the text element said
<span class="rsLinkify-imgError" title="RS Linkify: Might be legit.
But it has attributes that suggest it may submit data when clicked."><span style="color:" #b2dbee"="">#</span></span>
Is there a way to add the time and date website to a list of approved sites through linkify or is it not possible as mod lee said they approve the link on the events forums?
Edit: I should clarify. Mod lee said they approve the site, but he didn't specify the ability to link that site anywhere other than the events forums, but also didn't specifically say it's only useable there.
All in all, I'm not very sure if this is an intentional thing or not
Hiya Stewie, if you could post the actual link I'll be happy to make sure it'll not get filtered.
There was a time (issues caused by the new forum link tag) where I felt I needed to make linkify very strict with links that contained some parameters. I have been toning it down over time and will continue to do so.
So, please post the link and I'll get it sorted right away
Edit: oh hey i tried to post it that time and it worked. Previously it would show a # with a strike through. (I am on the latest linkify version). maybe it was just being picky for some reason :c
Ahh that's because the forums only allow runescape's domain.
Any links wrapped in the link tag that don't point to runescape's domain will be destroyed by the server. It's to prevent external linking to outside sites.
Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that, that's a restriction imposed by Jagex on their servers.
If you were to try it without linkify running the links wouldn't work either.
Ahh okay I suppose that answers my previous question about it being restricted to be link-able only in the events section of the forums :/ thanks anyways!
