Ok, it is just there are lots of threads where a j-mod has only posted on the first post. It seems a waste to take up space saving the QFC for that thread if no more posts have popped up after that initial first post.

News Discussion is made up of threads only created by j-mods for instance. And that's a lot of unnecessary QFCs being saved if only 1 in 10 of those threads have any subsequent j-mod posts.

Yes, shading is still here with Linkify disabled.

Edit: I'll disable gold borders/custom background to my post and see if it still happens.
- Yeah, with no custom background applied, it happens to my posts too. It vanishes as soon an a custom background is applied.
-It does not happen to J-mod posts with or without Linkify disabled.
-with custom background enabled but gold borders disabled on my posts, it also doesn't occur.

@Faded Myths,

Good point about the jmod posts. I'll definitely factor that in.

As for that dirty grey colouring... well I'm glad it's not RS-Linkify doing it.

I'm going to dig through the images on this site to see what's going on, the fact it's not happening to me means there is number of things I have to go through.

I have one last question, sorry I should have asked before, but I'm curious, is this a recent thing or has it been happening for a while? I have to wonder has the recent maintenance got anything to do with it?

I'll start looking now :)

It's been happening for quite a while. I can't recall exactly when but several months at least.

When I talk about it vanishing when custom backgrounds are applied, I mean specifically to only the post that has the custom background. All other posts still have the shading.

Original message details are unavailable.
Could I suggest giving JMod (and maybe Fmod) quotes a yellow (and green) tint?

Funny you ask, I've been working on that. Great minds think alike :)

I'm Having some issues because everything in quotes has a level of transparency if they are nested. So the colours bleed through into other quotes.

Also I have the issue of custom posts applied to fmods, fmods in clan list for example. That throws another spanner in the works.

However, I have made some progress in this area, by not changing background but by recolouring the border. Gold quote border for jmods and green for fmods. That way any custom settings are honoured and I don't have the bleeding effect due to transparency in nested quotes.
