Here's something that might be a bit nifty:

Maybe there could be a way that all posts in a thread made by the OP could be a certain color, similarly to how we can customise friends posts and such.

Idk how the coding for this works or if it's at all possible, but I thought it would be a cool idea.

Edit-Typo

Highlight all OP's posts...

I can see some issues with this, you must navigate to the first page of the thread  for RS-Linkify to see who the OP is. So if you land on a page other than 1st page from a link, qfc, last post link, any link from a forum profile, or from a quote then RS-Linkify won't know who OP is.

The only other way would be to open the 1st page silently and read the OP's name if you don't land on 1st page. That's 2 page loads and no guarantee that page one will be retrieved before your landing page is opened. Unless I made you wait for the data before opening your target page. It's also 2 page loaded and no guarantee that OP has posted elsewhere.

It's not a bad idea, but it's kind of heavy work just for the off chance there is another post made by OP.

If I can think of a better way to do it then I'll consider it :)

Oh sorry my mistake, I have got quoting on the brain atm.

I have had a play around with inline editing but haven't looked at it for some time now. It is on my to-do list so I will get back to it sometime.

Thanks Indy. Glad you are still actively developing this project!

Now the quoting has settled down I'd like to say...

BIG THANK YOU <3

to everyone that participated in the quoting.

I found 3 issues I was unaware of, and have updated fixes for them :)

If anyone was wondering what the issues were...

- Some code was rewriting avatar codes in the old format.

- Quotes with borders were not always getting the correct avatar

- I learnt with default avatars, I have to convert player names to lowercase to get thier avatar. Strangely this doesn't matter for 99.9% of default avatars but in some cases the wrong avatar is returned.

Anyway all those issues are now resolved thanks to your help. Some of those issues would have taken a while to surface and been much harder to track down if they were spread throughout the forums.

If anyone is wondering when I'll extend mini avatars into the rest of forums. Most likely in a few days. I'll work on it over the weekend, I need to refine a few things and tidy up some bits. Then it should be ready. I'm way ahead of schedule thanks to everyone here :)

Ello's :)

Just had one thing to chime in with! When the minitars display, if the person is using a custom avatar, the minitar is of the custom avatar. Would it be possible to have an option to show the normal avatar?

And as always, thanks for all the updates! Seems we moved along 11 years while I've been out!

I will be providing some options with mini avatars. However there will be general avatar options that will apply to both.

I'm not sure why you'd want to un-match the avatars. To me it would be odd, clicking a quote link to find the post isn't using the avatar that was displayed next to the link.

Not sure if I'm missing something,  if there is a practical reason for this, it will help me. The only thing I can think of is maybe because of image quality of small pics. But to me that's less annoying than getting a different picture.

I'm inclined to say it's going to be either custom avatars all the way, or none at all. Aside from aesthetic reasons I have many technical reasons for this too.

Edit: I'm going to remain non committal on this, I'd really like to know why though. I'm not saying outright no, I just need some convincing that this is needed :)

Would it be possible to add an option to somehow to disable the submit button if it's already pressed to prevent double posts?

It might be possible . I've never had it happen to me, except for one time when the forums were lagging and I got page can't be displayed message. After refreshing I had posted twice.

It will be a hard thing to test. I already have an event listener hooked onto the submit button, so I guess I could disable the button on the mouseup event. It'll only be disabled for a brief period since a new page loads. Assuming problem is a client side issue, it might do the trick.

I'll look into it :)

Indy, i'm a bit of a noob when it comes to remembering passwords. I started tracking myself on your hiscore tracker last week but forgot. Any possible help there? or adding a "forgotten password" type thing?
