This is true and cn indeed be very dangerous. As well as Java no longer being updated for chrome in the future. I personally would recommend people to not be stubborn and move on to the client tbh. Applets are quite dangerous cause they can be allowed to put any kind of file to their liking anywhere they like on your computer if you give them a simple "yes" in a pop-up. Or with certain exploits without your permission. This is why I strongly recommend that if you have no use for NPAPI aside from RuneScape to just download the client and not mess with stuff that could open yourself up to these kind of dangers.
That's a very good point.

Hey there, unsure if it was already known but figured id post just incase. I am having an issue with the blacklist feature. It isnt blocking a particular players links. I saw it has the option for playername and it would block all links from them?
I am BatwingRobes, and BatwingRobez is me. BWRs is also me though ;)
Check out my calculators @ 99ftw ***, or google batwingrobes :)

@J3, I think so too, though tbh it simply doesn't have any effect on me. Nothing I do relies on NPAPI so I can't miss what I don't use.

@Wolfie, I saw your thread earlier. I don't mind you posting about it here, this thread is about forums, tech, code and coffee and without prejudice.

There are some things I believe you should cover that you haven't. I recommend some safeguards as to what you embed. See page 50 of this thread while running your script. I haven't tested it, but I see the code and I'm pretty sure I know what will happen.

Of course that's not the only example, there plenty of others that are worse than just an annoyance that you should cover too. That only takes some simple regex to fix. Should be too easy for a member of a master race *.~

I'm happy to offer some pointers if needed :)

Hmm I noticed that it logged me out and some of the links you listed didn't embed. I would appreciate any pointers you have to offer.

And fyi the firefox master race stuff was just to grab attention for the release. I even put a disclaimer in the second post that evidently no one read lol.

I was seriously disheartened that you refused to make a version for firefox when I asked multiple times over the years. But meh, your time invest it as you want and ect. Anything that works in chrome will work in firefox (but not vice versa because ff can do more stuff #masterrace ) so just copying the source code and changing how the functions are called would be possible but I felt just ripping off the code of another like that would be messed up.

I appreciate the tip you have already given me about regex, will research.

Also as evidently talk about google chrome decision to not support java is appropriate on this thread here are my thoughts:

1) You should always be playing on the client anyways. If you multitask and are doing something you could open a page with a billion gifs by mistake or tons of flash games or ect to kill time while skilling or between boss spawns and as a result your browser could lag or crash or something else and if that happens it is really helpful having rs be in client so it won't be brought down with your browser. Also if your browser gets compromised there is a chance the client won't be so you may stand a higher chance of avoiding a hack that way. Not to mention the client is the most compatible with rs being made for it and will probably have pre-optimized settings for playing rs. And lastly most computers with dual graphics cards set the crappy one to use the browser as browser based gaming is not as popular as playing a dedicated game and the majority of players don't want a lolcats video lowering their fps so this way you can add just the client to your high end graphics card approved program list and not waste resources boosting the fps of armorgames.com or something.

2) Good. Java is a security risk and it is archaic. Major browsers refusing to support it will hopefully kill it and move the web forward. Firefox currently has it set to "ask to run" by default (and has had it set that way for years #masterrace) but I straight up uninstalled it. Encouraging the use of better languages can only improve the quality of the web as a whole.

If you post a qfc to a page you're having trouble with I'll look into it. No need to know who you are blocking because I'll just block 'em all on that page and go from there.

Just downloaded linkify today and I must say I'm really loving it so far :) . Also, think I could get Mega as my title? So it would read Mega Charizard Y. Thanks! :)

Your title is done :)

It may take a few hours before it updates.
