-Raises hand.-

Indy! Under the "My Profile" section, the signature-editor lays. Is it possible to update the avatar that is displayed there to reflect a Linkify avatar?

Edit: At the moment, it is displaying the normal player avatar.

^Wow what timing, I just finished writing the code to do just that.

I'm actually working on options to convert all forum times to local time, and that's one of pages I was working on since every thread listed has a post time.

Tbh I didn't even know there was an avatar there until an hour ago. I'll push out an update that'll have it covered along with local time options in an hour or so. Just testing the last bit now :)

Regardless, take care, Indy & Ryan, and thanks for all you do.

Good luck to your future endeavours and continue on with what you enjoy playing, watching and doing every day. I might have had many chances to chat with you outside these forums, but I do wish the best for you.

Heheh! It sort of just dawned on me, too. I was like, wait... there's an avatar there...

And yay, local time! :D

I appreciate where you are coming from. The thing is where this works (and it doesn't always work) is on forums that are built around that idea. I don't think it can be implemented in these forums and serve the desired purpose. However I do think it could be made to work on a dedicated sub forum.

I only got this idea from this website http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/ which of course goes in line with the philosophy that the forum must be built around cold hard ideas and facts and accuracy for ratings to exist. Hive Workshop is simply a Stack Overflow for Warcraft.

Rs forums has nothing like that, if they want to choose a ranking system, it needs to be something earned. It could be a popularity rank at the worst. Or since we actually got a lot of help forums (and beta forums) making rating only work in these forums work best.

If Jagex is going to however force put on a form of forum indicator for all forums, how would you choose without a regard to promoting the forums?

Hmm I'm unsure if you mean the postcount thingy or a +1. I have answer, but I'm not sure I'm understanding the question.

Oh Version 3.1.7.81 is live just now.

If anyone wants to give the new local time options a try, I'd love hear back. Time conversions are not fun in javascript and I'm hoping I got it right :)

It looks right to me on all settings. Although to be fair I'm hoping that the web team will eventually make the forum times run on UTC since it's confusing to me to have it change and it confuses both players and Jagex staff with the ingame UTC clock.

Edit: I may have spoken too soon . Only Display Times in 12 hour Format. is checked and "02-Mar-2015 2:53:00 - 2Last 2edited 2on 202-Apr-2015 213:11:24 2by 2Ryan M PM" this is a little confusing.

Thanks Ryan M :)

And yes UTC would be so much better. That would make time conversions so much easier for linkify too.

Linkify is good until the year 2020 for time conversions so I hope they do it the next 5 years :)

Edit: damn, I can reproduce it so that's a good thing I guess. Thanks for letting me know. Time to work on another update :)

Turns out that was easy to fix and now I know what those couple of useless looking lines of code I deleted were for :/

Wow google pushed out Version 3.1.7.82 almost instantly. This version should be able to handle the past and the present with ease, or at the very least better than I can :)

Thank you so much for the fast bug report Ryan M, that was awesome!

Well I first noticed it on someone who had the title The Gamebreaker and figured it was a feature of the title, somehow, but saw it on my post afterwards and was like 'Definitely not meant to be this way'. Silly taking into account that AM and PM aren't native to the forums. :P
