I think you'll find when a url is posted without the http prefix it's been typed rather and copy/pasted. Those people deserve a special kind of punishment, a combination of extreme pain, ridicule, and the words Hyper Text Transfer Protocol should be neatly branded into their skin. This may seem harsh but it's actually kindness, and makes a good reminder that sloppy urls are bad.
It's funny because we're talking about Zach, and he's fun to bully

^I should have known (or remembered) it was you that pointed it out. Tbh I'm just glad I remembered the example.
Actually there has been a few changes to how I detect urls since then. I was thinking after my reply I may look into it some more. But I'm not sure if I'll make any changes in that area or not.
I may have a better use for sloppy urls without the http prefix. Perhaps I could linkify but not embed. I need to think about it some more.
Edit:
Thought about it some more, I can't get J3's comment out of my mind...

Fk lazy urls man
That post made me laugh. But aside from that, for so many reasons that comment has lots of merit.
I'm really too tired to think about it atm. I think I need to sleep on it and approach it when there isn't so much blood in my caffeine system

In both regular forums and HLF forums, quote bubbles exist, but the text does not. In order to view the text, I'd have to highlight it. On occasion, if I refresh the page, the text will re-appear.
I am using an up-to-date Chrome, but I've disabled the "direct write", since forum text appears blurry. Re-enabling the "direct write" does not change anything, either.
Edit: Re-enabling the "direct write" does seem to fix it just a bit, but it's terribly blurry (even with glasses). RIP. ;n;
Also, if "direct write" is disabled, the quotes do come back from time to time.
