RS-Linkify Version 3.0.4.6

Just a little update with a new safety feature.

Links that have been shortened (goo, tinyurl, short, and many more) now have a toggle to expand (unshorten) them. This means you can see their true destination and it will expose scripts that may be hidden in the shortened url.

Example of a link you don't want to click: http://goo.gl/rTuWHq
See how RS Linkify exposes it by clicking expand.


Here is an example of a friendly one: http://tinyurl.com/kcjhrgj

Here's a another good example, not evil but it gets the point across.
Check out cute kittens here: http://bit.ly/1dhfogb

You can see where these links point to and choose whether you want to click them or not. If you don't understand what the exposed link is telling you, then don't click it.

It's tempting but no one would be able to tell the difference in HL General atm. Actually I purposely keep my little surprises infrequent. I like to be a little unpredictable and it's more fun for me if they appear out of the blue
