Wasn't really like that. I'm curious now, did you feel that image was negative toward women? That certainly wasn't my intention.
At the time I was reading about women in religion (such as the differences between Buddhism and Christianity) not the oppression or mistreatment of women. But following various links I ended up on a site with that pic. I thought cool pic and saved it.
Pretty hard to separate religion and oppression at the best of times, but the picture didn't ever strike me as representative of that. Nor was it what I was researching.
Could look at it another way too. Perhaps I'm saying...

Thanks for the pics. The blue one has loads more detail. Your probably right in that it's much closer to the original.

Tbh I hadn't seen it much until yesterday when I started specifically looking for it. Seems to have gotten around quite a bit, but not as an avatar so much.

Nah, we aren't going there. It's about avatars and where my old one pops up. The fact it was on the side of a garbage truck is just as relevant and for me raises the most questions.
I'd like to think there is a story behind all our avatars. All are welcome to share theirs if they wish.
My current avatar on Indecent Act has much more interesting story, but I think it's best we don't go there
