Wow I rarely ever post on LLF and just saw this . Locked by a Forum Mod who clearly abuses his power. Can add him as a reason why the LLF is dying. This is what happens when you give power to people who should be kept away from power as far as possible.

Years of neglect is taking its toll. Neglect on every level, but largey technologically and socially.

Arcane forum tools and features and little staff interactions, no archiving, over moderation, blah, blah, blah. We all know it, Jagex knows it.

The fact hardly anything interesting happens with game content means there is little to discuss too.

HLF has been on a steady decline since Mod Mat K moved to a different department. As for the rest of the forums, they have been suffering from their own issues coupled with less staff interactions.

It's easy to blame social media but there is more to it than that. Some forums report growth every year and they have a social media presence. Social media can direct traffic to your site, Jagex choose not to do so. In fact the current state of the forums is all Jagex's choosing.

So to me the real question is WTF Jagex?

Well, between the dramamongering assholes (Some of whom have already posted on this thread), neglect of the forum back code/tools/whatever the hell else you want to put here, lack of Gold presence in favor of platforms like Twitter and Reddit, and you pretty much have a recipe for irreparable decline unless something is done about it. "Revenge...is like a rolling stone, which, when a man hath forced up a hill, will return upon him with a greater violence, and break those bones whose sinews gave it motion."- Jeremy Taylor

Forums are dead for pretty much every game, social media is king now and has been for a long time Glory lies beyond the horizon. Challenge it because it is unreachable.

6 months old thread, I don't see how this thread got power abused.
