Why arent u putting lunging over aftershock on melee weapons as the damage boost to dismember is greater then the one 2.4k hit per min off aftershock
I actually forgot Lunging worked with dismember (since walking doesn't affect its damage).
I'm still waiting for them to say something about the 1 minute cooldown on aftershock being intended or not.
If the cooldown was fixed u remove precise5 off melee and replace with aftershock lunging is the same dps increase as a full functional after shock with melee

well I contest these paradigms a little because some gizmos are weapon only, some are both, and some perks are great in t70 grinder gear, but hogging a needed slot for t90 tanking or dps raids quality gear.
like... dragon slayer. thats awesome on a t70 arma body that has like 140 hrs of charge. you dont need that on your raids gear though.
compare/contrast caroming to biting. caroming only fits weapon gizmo, true, and biting will fit to armour, but I had to decide that I wanted to keep biting on my t90 weapons because conversely I can put caroming on a cheaper drain rate weapon since it'd obviously be for small mobs of things where I dont need much accuracy. bigger things across a range of fights: rune dragons, edimmu, yakamaru, nex, etc you can change your armour from arma to augmented achto tempest easy enough.
I'm also enjoying some good sense of success separating that I use augmented t70 for lowest drain rate at solo endeavors or slayer, and augmented t90 armour for highest drain rate at raids, and then... I think its actually kinda best practice to leave t85 tank armour or t80 anima core armour unaugmented for simple cheap grinding.
primary
armadyl chestplate with venomblood, undead slayer, demon slayer, dragon slayer. sounds easy but I had to use some thaler for void to get pestiferous, and then disassemble some third age, but the result is a very much more versatile piece of equipment that does enough extra damage for soul split that you don't need the extra pray, defense, life point, or set effect bonuses.
secondary
super lotus or anima zamorak. seriously consider leaving at least one set of it alone.
tertiary
augmented achto tempest body and there because its raids gear you do want to put your very best gizmos like that Impatient/Devoted combo and also Invigorate to build adrenaline for boss fighting in a group just as fast as possible since the adrenaline potions have cooldowns that don't ever reset.

I can't re-organize the above, but wanted to re-emphasize that you already have this idea that you can weapon switch for planted feet, and thats cool, but so too can you weapon switch for caroming -or- probably camp lower mob-by monsters like dark beasts with a lot less than your best t90 augmented weapon. Like for real a staff of light with lunging 2, caroming 2, plant feet, and aftershock 2 will probably all fit and then never really miss dark beasts if its chasing up sonic wave that gives 10% accuracy on the next shot.
That plus a piece of subjug with all the slayer perks... and you get all this great dmg for 1, 2, or 3 pieces at .9/s drain rate (I forget what the drain rate for t75 is at max but I actually know the drain rate for t70 armour off the top of my head)
I'm distracted now and can't spend more time making that text shorter... except that this sort of rumination is, I think, for people who can't actually log in to play, and want to spend time theorizing about their future builds and jot down some notes. so... yeah leave a caveat that your prescribed "best" is for what. aug arma and aug achto tempest bodies oughta be perked waaaaaay different.

Hm... decided to make the calculations myself to check the numbers, and when I googled the perk to get the precise description and found this:
A quick correction I saw there was that the average dps increase would be of ~39%, not 30% (dismember is usually 100%-188% weapon damage so 144% on average, with lunging 3 it should be 100%-300.8% or 200.4% on average). In that case, using on average 3.7 dismembers per minute (which may not always be realistic) would mean an extra ~144% ability damage per minute. And I must admit that doesn't sound that great; at 100k dpm and 2k ability damage that's under 3% average dps increase, much lower than precise's 6.25% or aftershock's 4.8% if it gets fixed (but still better than current aftershock, admittedly).
Unless I got the numbers wrong? And do they plan on actually leaving lunging work with dismember? Since it's actually different from frag shot and combust.
