Pretty sure he meant to say two perks in one gizmo. It's like making biting with noxious, you can't get the max rank unless you go for max components and that means the second slot will stay empty. Hi

Thanks for the link Seeker. Kind of an odd way to phrase it by Jagex/Rubic's standpoint, but I guess even ED1 takes up two slots even though it only takes up two components for instance.

Because 1 evasive 1 healthy has a far higher chance of Venomblood than 2x healthy does - evasive components are also far easier to obtain than healthy.

It isn't only about Venomblood. It is about both Biting 2 and Venomblood in the same gizmo. Did you do any testings/comparisons to backup your claim that 1 evasive and 1 healthy is "far better" for that combination?

The Venomblood comes from those two components, as Biting 2 comes from the 3 direct - I felt it was only relevant to mention those two as those are the only two that give venomblood.

As for personal testing, yes.

It wasn't just me that came to this conclusion either, it was posted a while back on this thread.

I believe the reason is that 2x healthy or 2x evasive both result in another perk being further up than venomblood in the possible perks list compared to 1 of each (committed in healthy's case and turtling with evasive).

It has been suggested that obtaining a perk from multiple components is more common than doing so from a single component that may give it. This is why honed 5 is easier to get with 4 silent and 1 sharp than 5 silent, or crackling 3 is easier to get with 4 explosive 1 imbued than 5 explosive.

Additionally, using one of each does put venomblood above committed/turtling which increases the chance even further.
