Did anyone try dismantling the new zaros armour/lance?

How many Ilujankan components do you get per piece? Rswiki says only 1 per piece (base item, not lvled up). If this information is correct, it makes the new perk pretty expensive to get... Ugh.

Edit: A clannie confirmed this ^. Soooo at current prices, it's atleast 25m for a single Aftershock 3.

I'm not convinced it's better than Equilibrium 3 either (on it's own, without biting 2/3).

I'm not convinced it's better than Equilibrium 3 either (on it's own, without biting 2/3).
If you'd like the numbers:

Equilibrium 3:
+9% min hit and -3% max hit. Assuming usual 20%-100% (= 60% average) base ability ranges, with equilibrium this is 27.2% - 97.6% (= 62.4% average). Therefore, 4% average dps increase.

Aftershock 3:
120% ability ( note : on the ability description it says weapon damage, but I hope jagex didn't pull the crackling mistake again - if they did, then the perk is overpowered with 2h's and underpowered with dw) AoE damage centred on target every 50k damage dealt. Effectively against a single target, calling D the final dpm and d the dpm without aftershock, and assuming ~2k ability damage, that is:
D = d + (d/50k) * 120% * 2k -> D/d = (1+0.048)
Therefore, a 4.8% average dps increase.
I read somewhere in the LLF that the perk actually has a 1 minute cooldown which is not specified on the perk description. But I haven't tried myself.

In conclusion, if there is no 1 minute cooldown, now aftershock is the second best dps perk even without biting (and not including the AoE). If it does have that cooldown, then aftershock + biting 2/3 will be better than equilibrium if biting remains useless with equilibrium (the dps increase would be ~4.9%/~6.15% respectively - assuming around 100k dpm).

Hey im not pro or anything at the whole analysis of the perks and normally come here to look for what others have figured out but considering there seems to be no other info i thought id share my experience with Aftershock perk...

Ok so getting it was a bit painful i thought hmm ok ill buy a lance and get some components from it prob need to buy 2 max, then after first disassemble figured out you only get 1 per... :@

So i looked up what else gives the component and seen that the essence supposedly gives it now either i was really unlucky or the rate you get it from the essence is blehh, bought about 20-30 cant remember exactly and didn't get 1 single component...

so yeah in the end 105m spent for x5 Lances.

I mainly used it at Raxxi upto now and a bit of Airuts training invention, So it looks pretty cool with blue mist effect and lightning firing down from the sky and it hits pretty decent too 2.5k - 3k's since i been messing with it, it hits as a mage hit and the damage will show before the animation has finished (really quickly kinda thing)

This morning using it at Raxxi it was proc'in with Crackling over and over im not sure on Crackling cooldown? But yeah hope this helps!

Edit : After re-reading forgot to mention while at airuts the supposed AOE damage didn't seem to be very large i thought it would maybe look like when you use corruption ability but it seemed like it only hit in a 2x2, idk tho might be cuz i had so many airuts stacked ontop of each other maybe.

For future reference you can get an item to level 9 to get 4x components.. So you'd only have needed 2 :)

As others said, Aftershock seems to share a one minute cooldown and activates with crackling when off cooldown... Effectively cuts the effectiveness into a third, since it only activates the one time a minute instead of 3 :(

Still, I do like the graphical effect of lightning striking my enemies, so that's a plus.
