The Wilderness Survival Competition.
This event would be Clan-based and would take place on a specific world, with special modifications to the wilderness. Here's how it would work:
The event starts at the Wilderness Wall. Players are not allowed to bring any weapons, armor, food, potions, ammunition, etc. with them into the wilderness. They may only bring "tools" with them. (Picks and hatchets may be brought, but not wielded.)
When the competition starts, players climb over the wall and have a certain amount of time (15, 20, 30 minutes?) in which to gather resources and make items that they will need. No fight will take place (other than with NPC's) during this time. After this point, it becomes an all-out war.
The team with A. the most kills, or B the most people remaining after a certain amount of time will be the winners.
Items would be dropped on death (like old wilderness) BUT items would not be able to be taken out of the Wilderness when the competition is over.
This competition would really push players to be inventive and resourceful. I think people would be *very* surprised at just how good of items they can make with just some tools and the resources found in the wilderness.
I mean you can mine, smelt, and smith iron-runite.
You can catch lobsters, cut trees, make fires, and cook the lobsters.
There are lots of spawns of various useful items.
I think it would be really neat.
