I never use voice chat, but if it became an actual part of the game, and it's free, I would start. No doubt.

If you do add it, you need to add a million new player mods to gag annoying people. Also, you should disable it at the GE.

That public voice chat idea is actually not a bad one at all, and the added realism would be actaully pretty neat. It certainly seems like something JaGex would do lately with all the HD updates other etc media related content.
Not that all that graphics or sounds made a large difference to me ever in this game, otherwise I wouldn't have played in RSC would I?
Also, the whole "flaming" related comment is actually fairly true, not many of the people who type like that would talk like that.

Well, I don't see whats wrong with steam, other than most people never heard of it and just use skype... or something similary laggy. Steam is the best voice chat system I know and use daily, its meant for fast paced online pc gaming, so something similar would work for Runescape. In the mean time... more people should just use steam voice chat

I had no idea there was a way to voice chat i was just saying to a clan member how much easier it would be to keep the typing down especially when in tough combat I personally think a voice chat would be a really helpful tool and thanks for taking notice i had just been speaking about this a few days ago but i dont currently use and would only if it was aproved by jagex thnx again.

I think this is a great idea; it was save the hassle of prompting others to download programs like Skype/TS3/Vent for communication.

I believe this is a great idea. However, I would like to see privacy settings similar to the current chat (i.e. Ignore, Public Chat ON/OFF, Clan Chat, Dungeoneering parties, etc.). A Chat lobby and/or a mute option would really help out (some people have a tendency/urge to 'blab' nonsense when they have a mic. in front of them and I'm sure we would all appreciate aggression being kept to a minimum.

Jagex, just know that if you offer it for a price... nobody is going to PAY for it since we already have free software that does the same thing you're gonna offer.
If it's free, I'll definitely use it. But I'm not paying one cent for something I already have.
