Voice chat which doesn't have a massive effect on performance (or can be toggled) would be a great feature for the game.
Perhaps a 24-hour trial would be good to try it out, make sure the codecs are up to standards and less comparable to VOIP applications such as Teamspeak or Ventrilo. ¸,•º´`º•,¸

Dude, this feature would be awesome, have a option where you can select "Friends "No one" "everyone" and you can pick people to not listen to.
Wud be awesome, and you could pick to mute people who are crying, spamming, yelling, and other crap. So

i would use the voice chat to play on runescape it would help a ton..
for example.. the other day wheen ws iv came out i was working on it and a friend was having trouble doing it..
and because you guys decided once a char went past a certian point ( i believe going down the stairs from avils) you could not see another player... well tht became hard to explain to my friend what to do where to click and how to do things because i wasnt exactly sure where he was standing..had we had voice i could have siad to him alot faster and with more details on how to do some thing ..
what should have taken only a few mins took hours to accomplish..
voice would have made the difference..

I would like to see an in-game voice chat function, as it is nice to play in full-screen. Of course I don't think it should all be heard. Maybe there should be a new tab in the game for it. There would need to be a few options for it, such as being able to hear everyone's voices as long as they don't have a private chat with another player set up, or hear only friends, or maybe just mute everything. I hate games that make you have to listen to others' voice chats if you don't want to, so a mute or selective listening option would be very nice if this gets added.

i have read thru a few posts and see people saying that people would abuse it by verbally abusing others.,.
wouldnt it be a 2 way agreement between the people to begin talking to each other just like trade windows.. u click it sends a request and waits untill the other person accepts.. ..
it wouldnt be click a name and they can hear you issue .. it would have to be accept the voice chat first..
so it becomes a individual responsabilty to accept using it correctly?
i mean just cause some one runs up to you and begs for cash doesnt mean u have to answer them every time..i egnor people i dont know unless i am not busy at the moment.. other wise i wouldnt ever get any thing done..

i support this idea 100% as long as
- You only make Voice Chat available in a Clan Chat.
- Make it safe so no one can steal IPs from it.
- Make a option that can allow you to mute people you don`t want to listen to.
- Admin option that can let CC admins able to mute players from using mic in the cc if necessary.
