I think it would be a great idea if it was like other voice chats where you could use it when you want to and when you don't want to. It would be nice if you could also make private servers for things such as clan wars.

I use voice chat basically is easier to talk to everyone you like to talk to and is helpful to pile call in stuff like clan wars / pking so big advantage there and makes game more fun be able to talk to people while u do stuff.
Bad side to voice chat is outside of the games boundaries stuff like "ventrilo" are the programs that make it easy to aquire ips for ddosing plus being able to monitor peoples speech would be annoying on your behalf but aend of days lol if you wanna btring it into the game be my guest saves us lot paying for ventrilo servers l0l.

People who want to use voice chat most likely already have a better voice chat client installed then one you would be about to integrate into runescape without it causing massive lag.Most of the areas people use it for now:boss rooms, wars, etc, experience a degree of lag as it is.If you do decide to add it please be sure its not going to bump the fps rate down to 3 for people who enjoy gwd and other areas where there is alot of stuff going on.

I would like this feature to become available, definitely. but restrict it to people in clans, friends list, and anyone you invite.
public would just be too... blurgh. can't hear anything. could you imagine the grand exchange?

i use a voice chat for rs. i use it for several reasons from bossing to mini gaming.
i do have rules in the chat i use.
1.if someone sounds to young they cant talk to me and will be deleted from the voice chat.
2.i am only called by my rs name
3.the subjects we talk about must be rs related.

i think the chat will be a good idea if there are rules like these are in place.
i would pay extra to have the voice chat Feature on rs it should be optional to have it or not.
