I lead a very succesful clan named Rise Of The Fallen. We don't currently have our own Vent due to the lack of money irl. We've been using a common program (Skype) and some people still won't download it.
I think this is a fantastic idea as a clean leader and it would enable everyone in the clan to talk. For wars especially it's more than needed.

I honestly don't like this Idea because alot of Players will be flamming such as starting fights and Racial slurs of somesort, I Really don't see that but i won't be on it Also their won't really be a censor?
Alot of people and players can start fights and PIck on other players Hopefully their will be an Ignore but Voice-Chat doesn't really fit me I don't like it... Their's many Voice-Chat Consoles out their But this really won't suite Runescape, i Mean Runescape is based on Medieval times and they didn't have voice-chat to communicate but its a game i know but Look this will just make Player-Communications a Hazard their will be many Conflicts and fights out their...
Although If this does happen their should be 24/7 moderation system by Players or The staff This will be crucial to avoid Online-Bullying but overall just not liking it.
If it does-so come into the game Ill get use to it Like other updates but it will take a while.
I've already seen some of my friends quit because of the Cruel Language on profanity.
But once again overall Jagex will decide the fate of this Idea.

Though i don't have a microphone or a headset I think that it is a very good idea...
I do see one problem though. what if you are in a cluttered area like the G.E., Soul Wars, Castle Wars, Etc. Would you have to set up a chat network or somethin like that so that it doesn't get cluttered. If that is solved then this is a great idea.
A chat network would also solve a fighting problem because you wouldn't have to chat with someone you dont want to

I absolutely think that this is a good idea. I've never considered using voice chat with RuneScape, but if you put in a convienient service, I think that I probably would use it.
Just a suggestion: Let us choose high or low quality sound. High quality would be whatever you feel is the best you can reasonably offer, and low quality would still be the voice chat service, but in a form that wouldn't slow down gameplay as much.

I love this new chat idea. If you think about it, this will be a huge update, and it will bring runescape one step closer to becoming greater. :) I myself love this idea, and I also have a microphone, so I would definitely use this feature. I really hope this becomes a reality, that would be insanely awesome, if we had voice chat! :D

To all the people with the IQ of 50, Unable to think past the kindergarden level. Thinking "OMG THINK OF ALL THE FLAME AND SPAM!". .... ... Are you that stupid... No duh it won't be a public thing. They will implement this into the clan chat, And this will allow players to be muted/banned if they spam or get out of hand.
