Adding to what ScS said in 27-8, this would also give a grave advantage to those who have versus those who do not. Some people prize their privacy and opting out of something external such as this would hurt them.
As it stands, we all have the same tools available to us that we EARN through game play. We also should all have the same communications system.
Unfortunately, as we can see from the responses, there are already countless players who have been playing with an unfair advantage over others so this is a moot point.
Therefore, if Jagex can support this system through their game engine and make it safer for those who wish an unfair advantage over those who will not have it, so be it.

P.S. The poll was wrong in one respect. It only assumed that the respondants wanted to say whether they use it for RuneScape. You may have wanted to know if we use it for RS but some of us have Voice/Video Chat but don't use it for RS; some of us use it only to talk to family about family issues. I would have liked the opportunity to say that we have voice/video chat but our family doesn't use it in game — only for family issues.
P.S.S. I'll wager that account hacking has risen with the advent of most of these voice and video products. Please Don't Feed the Forum
