Bad idea 1}you have clan chats you well get kids and other's talking over you and wont be able to get aword in to who you want to talk to
2} most of us who play this game or any other game use a tipe of voicechat dont put somthing ells that is gona make the game that much more slower
as some on e said befor fixthe problums you have now befor making new ones pkrs can do with out this in game
im sher thay alredy use ventlo skype or team speak

I would love to use voice chatting/ voice command. I'm using ventriole currently.
crestoffire and yaoi99 I have the same problem, and bet that many more that use Firefox gt this warning but I went on to the site anyway and there is nothing wrong with it for me.

I don't us voice chat because people on xbox already make fun of my voice.. but if their was a in-game or Jagex download i would download it as i trust runescape and would use headsets that i own.

currently i dont use any sort of voice chat, however if jagex gave rs a voice chat option i would totaly use it. though the way it would work would be a tricky, i mostly think it would be clan communication option. i think this because if they had the it for public and clan then it would be hard to switch back and forth. also i believe there sould be a certen key u should press to activate a head set or built in mic. also for people that dont want to use this methide that there should be a way for wut u say to appear in the chat box, agree? hopefuly this will happen in the near future ^^

My old Combat based clan did clan wars every day. In order to know who the target was on the field we used voice chat to know who it was. This was better because we didn't have to type out the wierd names that players use and stop using your mouse, just say the persons name and click to attack.
It made it MUCH simpler.

Sounds like an interesting idea, it would be fun to hear the voices of the folks I yak at but as mentioned earlier, it would be a very difficult conversation in a high profile area like around the Grand Exchange. Do we really need to hear what 100 players are talking about? Will I have to mute or ignore the 98 others so I can talk to someone about a trade?
What to do about reportable happenings? Will jagex record the conversation 30 seconds before and after the report to check validity?
Do I really need to hear bobby and sue sharing an intimate moment...

I would like live chat in a private conversation along with like it is now with typing to a friend on another world or in a clan chat typing situation. At least on clan chat only your chosen friends would hear the chat.
Will we be able to filter live chat like we can with the typed chat? That will be difficult I think. Both my kids play the game and I would hate to think that jagex will be a school as such for teaching my kids how to use the queens English.
For the most part I guess I am against it but if done right I would enjoy the comedy of it.

I got the potential phishing site warning from Firefox as well. Hopefully whatever is causing this will be investigated and taken out, as it's a little disturbing to be seeing that screen.
Concerning the poll though, I have never had much use for voice chat because I am primarily a solo-skiller type. However, I have used voice chat for Xbox Live before, and I appreciated some of the possibilities it presented.
I would still be cautious about implementing this though, due to the potential dangers it could present in an MMO. Perhaps a person could only use voice chat with another player if that person has been on their friends list for a certain period of time (maybe ~1-2 months?). This might reduce the ability for people to abuse voice chat, specifically in the context of solicitation. Also, I would assume that this would be limited to people who have admitted to being age 13+ hopefully.
