voice chat would be purely epic!! i'll finally be able to add my voice tone to my convo's and make ppl fall off there chairs laughing even fastah ^_^ i can see how reporting and flame and stuff could be a problem but im sure jagex wouldn't mention it if they didnt have a plan, they've been running this game for 10 epic years and ppl have quit ppl have come back and new ppl have come, i fully trust them to keep pwning the mmo world for another 50+ years, keep it up jagex

i use voice chat because typing so annoying on here u get so much then u got to type it up and enter and repeat. voice chat is so much easier i use it on skype teamspeak and my xbox. idc what ppl think about my voice you can get so much more info out faster by talking and not typing. like if your at like clan wars communication would be easier. i would say yes for it. plus i have played rs for a long time i love talking with the ppl i have know for years.

whenever i get my next membership id love to see voice chat. typing is so outdated... thats why i be chillin in the xbox party chat's

I would absolutely love voice chat, you know, as long as you can block people so i dont have annoying 7 year olds joining the chat all day long, but yeah i talked to my friends about this many times as a "what if" statement in the past. i would love it

i think a voice chat would be a great thing however. these are my concerns/ideas
1# having an open world voice chat would make runescape terrible. E.g. grand exchange, massive lag
#2 option features in voice chat. example: mute mic, mute mics, disable completely, clan chat managed voice chat, record a voice clip message to send to a friend, block clips from friend list option.
as an old veteran player i try to see the good and the bad. think about it :)

I use Skype while playing arenas in WoW and I can see it being helpful for SOME, but thats a very small group of players. Myself I most likely couldn't use it (or want to) because I speak English poorly.
But sure, its not a bad feature as long as you can make it fast, clear and easy to use!

The clan I'm in uses Ventrilo and let me tell you that it's really helpful for a lot of the events + organization that goes on. Lols are always present.
Voice chat wouldn't hurt the slightest as long as you guys know how to set it up.

I currently do use Voice Chat while playing RuneScape, I pretty much use it every time I play. The service I (The Clan I'm in) uses, is TeamSpeak and The Clan I'm currently in pays for it.
I use Voice Chat with my clan for Chatting, Events, Boss Killing and so on.
I would love to see Voice Chat added to RuneScape as long as it's done right, because I know darn well I don't want to hear EVERY player speaking while I run around the game and play.
I also do hope that when Voice Chat comes to RuneScape that it doesn't increase the price of membership which it probably will since Jagex would be hosting the servers for it. I also won't be willing to pay an additional fee just to Voice Chat while playing RuneScape.
The way I think it should work is there should be an Option both in your Settings to Enable it or Disable it. Also an option to go along side the other chat options so you can set it to hearing Public, Clan, Friends and so on.
