I don't use voice chat, as it's a breach of privacy.
If voice chat were to be put into RuneScape, I would probably have to quit my clan, my biggest involvement in game.
This is because no one will chat to anyone without voice chat, and as I refuse to use it, clans, general chatting and practically everything else will go down the drain.

People are happy using voice chat if they want to already, don't make people use it even more!!!

Voice chat does seem like a great idea. It will save us from having to type alot. I think it would be great to add that feature to Runescape. I have used it before on some programs. I think most of the players in Runescape would enjoy voice chatting.

Not all countries support high bandwidth internet to support this like Middle Eastern countries and north african countries. It's either too expensive(70$ a month for 512KBPS) or just unavailable.
Not every country is European or American.

I don't use voice chat on RuneScape now or ever have, but if I had the option to use it without giving out personal info then I would like the ability to use it.
If we could use it and not have to use the public voice chat options then it would be good for friends chat or clan chat, but not public chat.

I have used voice-chatting software before and it's a fun experience.
To stop clan chats getting flooded by voices, you should be able to set who has voice permissions. That way, there is still communication between the members.
I would be pleased by this update and would like to see how it works out.
