I wouln't really mind it, but Voice chat for Dungeoneering,Clans and other multiplayer minigames/activites will be awesome.
If it like voice chat all over the palce it would be Havoc, imagine in the Ge you hear tons of voices saying buy,sell etc

Sounds like a nice idea as long it doesn't make servers lag, so far low ping (22ms) servers for me lag and 180ms + ping servers don't lag for me. On top of that if you can have a mute button if it does get implemented, but you can mute everyone in your clan chat instantly. Also if you just a person who joined a chat you can mute someone from your end (so you don't have to listen to them) but doesn't mean there muted in the chat.

voice chat for runescape big bad idea, why you ask me that it is a bad idea.
(1)young children will be saying stuff we can't understand.
(2)you'd have to have someone monitor the voice chats to make sure they aren't saying stuff that are against the rules.
(+1)voice chat is a good idea , I don't use it but it will help if you can't see what a person is saying when talking to a npc's you know how it blocks the chat box.

I use it a lot, i hate trying to read my friends text (im dyslexic) so i just talk to them over a voice chat host.
Do hope jagex could bring this to this game, will help out... now they don't have to make it public, they could make it between friends or clans. Not allowing it in public just case you get those noobs who want to yell out random stuff. Thats my opinion on it.

Yes there should be a voice chat, but there should be serious moderation if there was an in game public server established for it. I feel the foundation should be based off of the Runescape homepage and not in game in order to keep the clutter away, and to help the game running smother and less laggy.
