I think I know that your comment wasn't meant to spite us, but honestly, it's worded very poorly and can be easily misinterpreted. I thought you would be more careful, especially as you should know that text cannot transfer voice modulation and it's therefore harder to understand the true content.
Regarding the wilderness discussion, I personally would prefer it if you posted on one of the threads in the wilderness forums, as our weekly thread already is cluttered with some discussions and we still want to maintain our location posts. A full-range discussion with a jmod would make the thread more confusing and lead to players not finding the location posts.
My personal thread has 5 posts of detailed explanation how we feel about this situation, why this is a problem and what we will have to expect. I also disprove some common arguments in a FAQ, with featuring interesting player posts. I would have done more if not for running out of space. Would be cool to see you there.

Perhaps you struggle to understand why so many in the penguin hunting community are so outraged and angry. Do you even know how we operate?
We have a community that is structured around the tools that you (Jagex) gave us, clan chats and forums. When you reset the penguins on our world(60)there are 4 full clan chats of people spread out all over runescape to search for these new penguins. As well as talking to Chuck and Larry to gives us clues.
We have players who have dedicated their time to research every square in runescape to know which square gives what clue. Once we have confirmed all 10 new penguins they are named and listed on the forums for all to see. From that point on the people in these chats call out locations to each other to help keep track of the penguins.
Our rules state you must be on the same world, obviously so everyone is talking about the same 10 penguins. If a false location is given the ranked individuals in the chat can go look for the penguin to confirm the true location and kick the false caller if need be.
We have players who dedicate their time to blocking penguin movements in any given direction to help move them into a desired location for easier spying(what we call herding). Some just simply trap it where they find it also to help others. I personally find this aspect of game play more fun than any mini-game on runescape and far more challenging. The reward for us is helping people to spy penguins. It gives us a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of belonging. There is nothing like coming together as a team and having your goals met. Our goal in Team Penguin is to help people spy penguins in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Revenants are not PKers. Revs cant sit in our chats and give false locations to lure hunters. Ranked members may not have the ability to confirm locations if they are constantly being killed.
Revenants cant sit in our chats to know where the penguin is so they can guard it from hunters to cause disruption. We have people who already set out to break the penguins out of their traps and spam gates or doors just to cause disruption for others. Amongst the spamming of false locations in chat to cause confusion. They think it is funny to deter others from their goals.
Revenants cant talk amongst themselves on teamspeak or ventrillo to coordinate attacks while they let one person stay in chat as an undercover spy to learn locations while everyone else is bullying the innocent people just trying to have fun and spy penguins like they used to.
We have a division of our team dedicated to protecting hunters from revenants. If they died their grave could be blessed and they didnt have the same risk of losing their hard earned items as they would have in PvP wilderness. That puts a few holes in the risk vs reward argument. The risk is much greater in PvP wild than PvM wild without the increase of reward. Penguins were introduced to the game after PvP and free trade were taken away. They have NEVER been in the wild during a PvP wilderness, there is no reason to keep them there now.
You may say penguin hunters dont have to carry items to the wilderness to spy the penguin. I agree 100%, but with the references I made above about players out there already causing disruption for people trying to spy penguins how much worse do you think the disruption will be once they can kill them?

We have taken the tools that you gave us and formed a very special community that is genuinly trying to help others and promote togetherness. With one future update this is all being partially threatened.

The game will evolve and us with it. We will no longer allow wilderness locations to be called in our chats or forum threads to prevent the bullying that most definetly would have occured. We will no longer give guided tours to all 10 penguins during a wilderness penguin week. Instead we will only give tours to 8 or possibly 9 penguins when they are in the wilderness. We will no longer attempt to track down, locate, and report wilderness penguins for the benifit of all who choose to use our services.
We cant have the kind of fun we used to have and get the feeling of accomplishment that all 10 penguins are located at all times without an exponentially greater risk and no added reward. We feel this is a great injustice to our community and that we have been overlooked and under-appreciated. We appreciate the tools and the game you gave us, but please consider our perspective and do the thing that is fair to everyone. Please dont give the bullies a weapon to target us anymore than they already do. Let the PKers have their style of gameplay without taking ours away.
Im not going to sit here and say I'm quitting runescape if you dont take the penguins out of the wilderness, but I will say that this community is the ONLY reason I still play this game. Without the Team Penguin Community I promise you I would have cancelled my subscription well over a year 1/2 ago. That works out to a little more than 100 US dollars this community has made you and I am just 1 person. We would like the CHOICE to go into the wilderness to engage in PvP activities, instead of being FORCED to engage in them to keep doing something we love.

Mod Timbo thank you for the attempt to apologise it takes courage to do so. A person who can say the actual sorry word and apologise unreservedly even more so!
I think perhaps your knowledge of the penguin community and its feelings are perhaps a little out of date as you wouldn't have pocket fun at us if you had been aware of the way we operate and our feelings. Please read BBh Smokes response with care he has expressed our community feelings, actions and plans so beautifully it makes me feel proud just to know him.
Bbh please may I post your response on my Rev's and wildy pengs together thread as it expresses the situation so well.

Oh wow guys, it looks like my comment has been taken way, way way out of proportion.
It was a tongue in cheek comment with regards to penguins being left in the Wilderness. Not a monstrous attack on the Penguin community as a whole. If you look at my interactions with the Penguin, and D&D, community over the last 2 years then you will see that I'm very supportive where possible and I understand your frustrations at the decision.
If you think it was in poor taste, you're entitled to your opinion on what I have to say and I accept that. I can assure you, however, that it was not said as an attack.
If you want me to come and debate why I think some penguins have been left in the Wilderness then I will be happy to on either one of the Penguin threads in the D&D forum.

We are very happy with our community and we don't want it to break down.
But we do notice some change is happening
.
Tour leaders who quit,
because they don't want to go in the wildy.
So we have no other choise than leave the peng alone in the wildy with the PKers.

Thank you, I'm glad to see that Jagex are still masters at shooting themselves in the foot. It's truly entertaining to watch.
Maybe this will have a positive affect on the whole pengs in the wildy fiasco. At least I can say I voted no on this update. If you all hadn't lumped the return of free trade with the return of the wildy vote, you've have found that your return of the wildy vote would have failed miserably.
I'll repeat it again just in case all the pk butt kissing sounds were too loud, people don't like forced pk!
